Dumber and Dumber

The posts on our board keep getting dumber and dumber. I can't decide if that is because of the ever lowering IQ of the sales force or the already staggeringly low IQ of the management team. Perhaps it is all due to the non-existent IQ of the executive team that keeps perry and kathy in place.

Not one of those 2 idiots has an MBA from an accredited university and they are in charge of a multi million dollar operation. Go figure why they try to hire people dumber than them.

MBA's are a joke for sales managers. You prove the point of the post. It's about IQ not education. Pay money, do busy work, get degree. An MBA means nothing when it comes to management of people, leadership and business acumen. MBAs are a scam of teaching institutions creating the need that the real world doesn't actually demand. In fact I'm surprised to find out those two idiots don't have MBAs. It would fit their masters of the universe delusion quite well.

For anyone in our salary ranges, the degree isn't worth the time or money. It's a certificate that doesn't teach you much about anything you really need to know for business.

MBAs are for people earning 40k a year that want to earn 70K. I've completed 2nd year MBA finance courses, no harder or more involved than 400 level finance courses in college, same exact material, same text books. MBAs are a joke and a waste of time and money.

At least everyone agrees that these two are idiots. Warburg has one goal in mind, to dump this mess as soon as possible. They made a mistake, and are stubbornly holding on to B&L until they can get better than 10 cents on their dollar. Everything else is window dressing.

Sounds like someone has MBA-envy...lol. You totally miss the value of an MBA by not looking at the big picture, which ironically is probably the biggest asset of an MBA - strategy. But since you don't have one or didn't finish or whatever, you fail to properly critique the value. Just remember this: someday you're going to want a job and you're not going to get it because the other person has an MBA...

you're delusional if you think most people in our line of work with MBAs have a strategic advantage in their job function by having an MBA. It doesn't teach strategy. You're also delusional if you think it makes you more attractive as a potential hire. Anyone hiring who thinks that, is not a person I would want to report to anyway. Business experience is what counts. There is no substitute and an MBA doesn't come close.

Again, you're failing to see the big picture - an MBA is about tomorrow, not today. I agree that any monkey with a suit and a bachelors degree can play this game we call pharma.

However if an MBA does only one thing, it teaches strategy - but again, you can't properly critique because you don't have an MBA. I completely agree that business experience is much more important than any degree of any kind. But to my point regarding your view on strategy, you are forgetting that business experience is something we all possess (in some facet) but we all don't possess an MBA. What most people try to do in the work-world is set themselves apart, with that said if you are looking to hire a candidate and two people have equal business experience (very, very likely) then the one with a MBA separates the two candidates.

In summation: You will never agree with me because you don't have a graduate degree. I'm OK with that, are you? lol
