Timely, in light of our FIRST Muslim beheading this morning, in Moore Oklahoma. It's here folks. Will you continue to bury your collective heads in the sand?

Libs, even the most liberal commentators (like for example Bill Maher) are ardent in saying that 'of all religions', Islam is the only one that justifies killing infidels in its (supposed) good book. In other words even a guy like him acknowledges that Islam is the worst.

Fundamentalist Christians (no, not all Christians) have a nasty side too. Dr. George Tiller, who was shot and killed by anti-abortion terrorist Scott Roeder on May 31, 2009, was a victim of Christian Right terrorism, not al-Qaeda. Fox News would have done well to avoid fanning the flames of unrest. Instead, Bill O’Reilly repeatedly referred to him as “Tiller the baby killer.”

So with that said, and with all due respect, what does this beheading have to do with whether or not religion is fiction? I see ALL fundamentalist religion as a farce.

But it seems that next to Muslims, atheists are the next in line to be despised. What about these whack job, self appointed angels of 'god' who kill doctors? Six of one, half dozen of another.

What I don't like on all sides-- is the hypocrisy and the non-tolerant.

Agree. Extremists on either side portray themselves as prophets who are allowed to use violence because they 'think' it is sanctioned by 'Allah', 'God' or whomever they 'think' is the higher power. In this case it was a Muslim extremist. In Tiller's case it was a Christian extremist. Granted, beheading is way more repugnant in our society than slaughter by rifle but come on, killing a viable human being is killing no matter what the religion is. In Tiller's case the right wing media made 'Tiller the killer' jokes as if his slaughter wasn't a big deal. At least CNN just 5 minutes ago made the point that we can't rule out an organized Muslim involvement. No one there is joking like Fox did when Dr. Tiller was slaughtered by a Christian pro-life extremist.

Yeah, and CAIR condemned it too. So Fucking what? This was exactly what ISIS called for, earlier this week, the "lone wolf" to carry out attacks. You need to pay attention boy.

Fox news has U soooooooo afraid:confused:.

Considering that Moore, Oklahoma, is only about two hours from here, and in an area, that is the safest of the safe. I can only imagine how many more heads would have been severed, if the owner didn't drop him with his Gun (you probably want to prosecute him). Is this dense thing an act, or is it really you?

The negative channel really has U frightened. Don't worry little fella, U can sleep with your two friends, Smith & Wesson.

He may not have been a Nutslim, but where do you think he got the idea to try to behead that woman????????

From the nutslims on the news. But he did not do it for ISIS or some stupid god. He just snapped.

To conclude this whack job was part of an organized cell is a stretch at this point. That would be like concluding that the guy who killed Dr. Tiller was part of an organized radical Christian pro-life group out to convert all those who didn't believe what they believed. Were they both influenced by a religion? Hell yes. They were also both murderous sociopaths that felt they had the right to impose their beliefs on others. These people aren't easy to stamp out in advance of their crimes. You can't round up and punosh every member of each group.

Vag, this is EXACTLY the type of action that ISIS called for, early last week. The guy who killed Tiller, probably thought he was acting in accordance, with the Operation Recue Manifesto. But, I don't recall them demanding that Tiller be Murdered.

Both groups have called for and publicly stated as well as approved of these type killings. Don't get me wrong, I deplore the beheading but what are you going to do? Round up every Muslim on earth just because there's a whack job who answered the public call of a radical splinter group wanting to promote itself?

I would contend that there is good reason to believe Roeder's actions were the result of his obsession with the actions of Paul Hill and communication with Rachelle Shannon. Whack jobs give whack jobs ideas. Both right and left wing news medias spin the news. When Tiller was killed Bill O'Reilly joked about 'Tiller the baby killer' as if to say his killing was meh - not so bad. I mean this guy slaughters a doctor in a church under the guise of a religious belief.

I personally think both murders were the result of one religious zealot influencing another religious zealot. Are Muslims forming cells here? Hell yes. Was this beheading a result of an organized cell? The FBI on CNN said yesterday that that cannot be ruled out but then again it cannot be assumed.

I don't think you can call every Muslim a supporter of beheadings any more than you can call every Christian a supporter of the killing of doctors who perform perfectly legal medical procedures that they don't happen to agree with.

If I could push a button and get rid of every radicalized Muslim who believes killings are OK and get rid of every radicalized pro-life Christian who isn't offended by doctor killings, I'd do it in a heartbeat. They're ALL scumbags in my book.

Many good points Vag, but I would blame Bill O'Baxter more than anyone. ISIS has called for "Lone Wolves" to carry out these very types of attacks. They are attracting the psychopaths among us. This could/can happen anywhere.

Yes and believe me, there are people whom I grew up with in Kansas & Missouri that are ranting, raving Christian right-to-lifers who applaud the murder of doctors who perform abortion. This is another way of appealing to and calling on 'Lone Wolves' to carry out THEIR missions which are sick but based in THEIR version of Christianity. I have worked with some wonderful people of the Muslim faith. I have worked with some wonderful people of the Christian faith. I have worked with some wonderful people who are labeled atheists because their explanation of how everything happened doesn't parallel the Christian view. It's very difficult to take a paintbrush and color every person in each group as evil.

But pretty-much every Muslim, is a Muslim first, and an American 4th or 5th.

Which is pretty much the way Southern Baptists view things. 1) THEIR interpretation of the Bible 2) political party (we know which one) 3) NRA (which isn't to say I don't rank them #3) and #4 or #5 - Law abiding American.

We've had several here - this is nothing new.

Hey speaking of immaculate Christianity my friend, take a look at THIS.............from February of this year....
