When will this thing ever be rectified. I have over 250k returned and my stupid boss keeps asking why I am not at plan. I hear that only a fraction is actually in house. This debacle is why next Friday is my last day. I am sick and tired of the promises, not paying me all along while the return is sitting in Ct and the stupid crap my boss says knowing good and well this tanked my year. Thank you senior leadership.

Typical COV management response to one of their representatives getting taking advantage of. Odds are really good that the RM posting this comment isn't making their number and hasn't in years but they are sure enjoying that fat salary. Keep sucking this company dry while all the good representatives leave. Don't worry, it won't be long until all your talented individuals are gone and you can suck wind with your lack of development skills working with those young hot new hires! I am beginning to think that Lori has screwed us again just like last year with the Sils instruments. When will the adjustments to the lost sales and quota for this product ever happen? We were told it would happen months ago. There are many of us still suffering sales wise because of this. Where is the communication you promised when you took over?

Adjustments for lost sales are made up every time someone leaves the company. The savings in salary, commissions and all the other expenses help offset the lost revenue. It's not big savings but it adds up over the course of the year.
What management is not telling you is that they simply cannot and will not make adjustments to quotas. The original quotas are passed down from Mansfield and then disseminated out to the field. The reality is that if they adjust quotas in the field, they are still stuck with the number given to them. And they will never tell you this because it would be like looking behind the velvet curtain.
In the end, there are two numbers, the sales number and the company number. Wanna bet their bonuses aren't tied to just the sales number? At the end of the fiscal year, ask if them if the company made it's number. That's what it's all about.
As for communication, what do you expect from them? The truth? Keep dreaming...
 






You sound very informed. I can only suggest that the company has provided quota relief in the past for Permacol. A similar situation happened where it lost some indication. How is this any different?

Looks like all your problems just got rectified........You are Covidien.
 






Look out! Lori will screw you for sure. One thing hat is certain as she has proven, no adjustments will be made before fiscal year end. Word is that Lori and her minions are only prepared to make a 25% adjustment to the real list duet business vs tristaple as a replacement. Just like her "favor" she did everyone last year with the token adjustment for the hand instruments that were not available until 4th quarter.

What a disaster! But this isn't all Lori. I'm not trying to defend her completely but this decision is way beyond her realm of responsibility. This goes to Chris Barry, Brian Hanson and to Joe Alemeida. They make the calls far more than Lori does. Either way it is a disaster and we will not be getting any adjustments, regardless of who makes the call.
 






You think this was bad wait until you get your powered ultra gia articulating rotating falling apart can't be sterilized more than once POS sales targets. I'll bet it won't even be available on time because we'll want to do a little more "reliability testing" you know more than what is required because we really care about our patients. Sorry about that you'll just have to make up the numbers somewhere else....you should be able to do that right? or it will only be available on a "limited release" you know because we're so sure it's going to be a real game changer of a product at least that's what we'll say to wall street after all this is the 2nd powered product we've released....how did that 1st one work out?????.....crickets....

No worries, same bs going on over at EES. Why are all the med device companies so messed up? It's like they just realized healthcare is changing.........duh?

Hit the nail on the head?......we missed the nail and the wall then it swung back around into our kneecap. You must be from R&D or PMO. You do realize it's been 5 years trying to get a working powered stapler and how many millions? Enough already. It will be over when Intuative comes out with theirs anyway.

Yep. When ISI launches their stapler and vessel sealer, those events will make this summer's fiasco seem like the good ol' days.
 






Another screw job. This happened last year and again this year. I have not been paid all year because of this disaster and now they want to pay me for the last month. Total screw job.
