Definitely weird and needs to be cleared up. Getting tired of hearing about it - that and how many people are making a hero out of Luigi.
Our Health care system was broken before we installed ACA. Then it was better for a couple of years but now it's a mess again. I've got United Medicare Advantage and it's been good so far, but I have a retiree version tied to a corporation (Pfizer). Apparently, the corporate versions are less problematic than the non-corporate versions. I have a half-dozen friends who've moved to Australia and they seem to like their system. It's 2 track, a paid version and a free version. Healthcare insurance is the least of my worries but what I find disturbing is the 'support' for a guy who murdered someone in broad daylight over a philosophical difference. Ambushing someone doesn't even give them a chance to respond. I wonder how many times he'll have to wake up in jail and realize that's the way he's gonna be waking up for a while, before he figures that out?

Agree on Luigi being a “hero”. Looking at X and seeing people feeling comfortable expressing their joy over a murder is disturbing on many levels. Our society is broken. I love arguing back and forth with you on here, and being violent towards someone I disagree with has never crossed my mind. I don’t see us going back to being civil and respectful on a human level. Social media has empowered people to be rotten to the core.

Luigi will likely be the girlfriend to a large man named Bubba for the rest of his life:)
 






Sadly I am not surprised. We have reverted back to days of old when people enjoyed watching lynchings and hangings. Only this time it’s a white male CEO not a helpless black slave. Says a lot sbout this country - same people tho voted for Trump. Why expect anything different from the guy who said ‘I could shoot anyone on Fifth Avenue’. Frankly surprised you are surprised.

Getting past all of these thoughts, I'm now wondering if this Luigi guy actually thought he'd pull it off? And with his manifesto, maybe he'd strike again specializing in insurance company CEOs?

He seems to have gone to 'some trouble' trying to conceal his ID but did so in a lackadaisical-type way dropping the mask to flirt. Or does that just speak to the fact there isn't enough blood in a man's body to properly operate both the brain and the penis at the same time?

If it hadn't been for that, we might be still looking for him.

The same low class cult who voted Trump in will the the mob akin to those in The French Revolution who will be chasing down more CEO’s after they realize they’ve been had by the orange one’s empty promises…life will not get cheaper, there will be massive layoffs, the safety net will not be there anymore. You are naive if you think they will just sit there and take it.
I don’t cheer anyone’s death and I’m liberal…however I have studied history and see the cult following Trump has filled with low class, poor followers as well as some middle class fools and of course his billionaires who are the future oligarchs who stand to benefit from him. I was shocked the day he was arrested and the NYPD Chief admitted that they hadn’t heard his name until THAT DAY! Meaning, he seemed well on his way to getting away with it based on their investigation.

Can’t agree with you more. However the savior of the middle class will definitely not come from the Republican oligarch worshippers. I predict a lot of fallout before we find our way. Perhaps look at the past and see when countries have reached a breaking point. Basement boi thinks it can’t happen here however I disagree…honestly hope I’m wrong…

It gets moderated first. A long time ago, comments appeared without moderation but then they would put you in jail (a suspension, usually 2 weeks) if you said something they didn't like - usually sexual and usually on the Playground. and now they have words that if used, get a redline under them and won't even get submitted. I'd give examples but don't want to be jailed. My suggestion is: Write to the admins and see what's up with not being able to register. I didn't realize that was the case.

Seriously, I am wondering what the next 4 years will look like. Wondering if the GOP and the orange assclown will make moves against Medicare and social security. I am not that worried for myself - my house is paid off and I have a fat 401K from pharma. But I wonder about some of my friends who are working paycheck-to-paycheck with retirement savings much less than mine. Those are the dumbasses who voted for Dump and I hope he fucks them in the ass as they try to retire in the next few years. It will be interesting to watch.

A Colorado man is facing charges for allegedly attacking a television news reporter after demanding to know whether he was a citizen, saying “This is Trump’s America now,” according to court documents.
He was arrested December 18 in Grand Junction after police say he followed KKCO/KJCT reporter Ja’Ronn Alex’s vehicle for around 40 miles from the Delta area. Alex told police that he believed he had been followed and attacked because he is Pacific Islander.

After arriving in Grand Junction, he man, who was driving a taxi, pulled up next to Alex at a stoplight and, said something to the effect of: “Are you even a US citizen? This is Trump’s America now! I’m a Marine and I took an oath to protect this country from people like you!” After he got out of his vehicle, the man chased Alex as he ran toward the station’s door and demanded to see his identification. He then tackled Alex, put him in a headlock and “began to strangle him,” the affidavit said. Coworkers ran out to help and witnesses told police that Alex appeared to be losing his ability to breathe during the attack, which was partially captured on surveillance video, according to the document.

The attacker was arrested on suspicion of bias-motivated crimes, second degree assault and harassment. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday to learn whether prosecutors have filed formal charges against him.
