Don't come here...fed investigation

Don't come here. Federal investigation on off-label marketing- public info look it up. Also, drug going to sell is not going to have any managed care coverage. All out of pocket payment and do you think people will pay for it in this economy? Turnover here is over the top. You do well then they make goals way too hard then they fire you for cheaper labor. Better to leave industry and sell cell phones than be here. I am just here milking them for every last dollar, stay at home and make up calls until they catch on. When they get close I will file a short term disability claim and milk them even longer for another three months while I collect STD with full pay. Good luck.

Wher can we go to look it up?The Fed Investigation?

If you spent the time and did your research, you would find several companies currently under investigation. These are not criminal investigations but simply a way for the government to squeeze deep pockets. You could go down the list- AZ, GSK, Amgen, Cephalon, Abbott, TAP, etc. It goes on and on. Last time I checked these companies were still in business and employing thousands of people. This will come and go. Case closed.

What you fail to explain is this is a criminal investigation into off-label marketing practices. Once this goes even farther, just like Tap, individual employees will have to get their own lawyers and have to defend themselves against the feds. In the Tap case people went to jail and many lost thousands in legal fees and will never work in pharma again. The difference between other company investigations is those companies have the funds to survive an investigation, Par does not have the cash to survive this depending on the fine/and or settlement. Why do you think management is freaking about this new product launch? They will need the money to pay off the fine and to just survive. The magace ES cash will go away because the off-label marketing will stop.

Stay away...far away from this hell hole.

Have you any idea what the fine is predicated on? I can tell you that it certainly will not put Par out of business. With regards to the so called 'criminal investigation' you are absolutely twisting words. No wrong doing was done here. If it's so bad here, go work somewhere else. But please only state facts rather than express negativity.

Off label promotion and any sales related to that promotion will be taken away along with a hefty fine. SInce there is a credit crunch right now, and a hefty fine, could put par out of business. We will see if wrong doing occurred or not after the investigation

slow down your chugging of the kool-aid!

What part of the DEPT OF JUSTICE and GRAND JURY TRIAL are you not understanding exactly? Talking to company lawyers and imaging computers is not routine, sorry to slap you in the face with the obvious. Pull out your PI and look at where it says that Megace ES is NOT INDICATED for the elderly, and our indication is for HIV/AIDS patients but we don't sell to them either...hmmmm.. we target mostly the elderly and no AIDS/HIV patients=off label promotion....wow ding ding ding...have another shot of Strativa Kool-Aid!!!!!

ps these are all facts

This is not kool-aide. This is either brad, rick, or melissa trying to calm peoples fears. The truth is they all know the massive expolsion and trouble that is coming. There will be silence for a while then the feds will hit you with a force worse than hurricane katrina.

I guess the proof will be in the Megace ES numbers for the next few quarters, residual sales within the LTC's should continue for at least 3 months, but if reps truly are no longer going in there to sell, only concentrating on the high decile HIV treaters that were originally supposed to be our target audience, sales are going to slip. The reason we started calling on the LTC market was because everyone knew that was where the money would be. Sad that we couldn't be bothered to get any additional indications or approvals that would have legally opened those doors. I dont' know about you, but when I was recruited back in 05 I was told we were pursuing a secondary indication for Megace ES on the oncology side - then a year later that just went away, why? Obviously because we were getting away with making the oncology calls totally off label, or with the ridiculous letter writing campaign, and Par didn't want to spend any more money on clinical trials that may have legitimized what we, the sales team are out here doing on a daily basis. 4 years ago when we were recruited to this place it really did sound like an opportunity worth jumping to, a place where we'd be able to build careers and grow with the company, how many of these new managers were promoted from within?

How is that possible: I don't live near the ocean? How would the feds cause a flood in my area?

Plus there was no silence with Hurricane Katrina. Everyone knew for a week that it was very possible that the city could be flooded.

And lets say there is a trial. This would take a few years to be heard. Then probably a year or two to be done. Then even if Par lost, they would still appeal, and guess what, that's gonna be a few more years. So chill brah.

Not true when the Feds indict the companies they roll and pay the fines.Take look at TAF web site(Taxpayer Against Fraud -Tell you how much a whistleblowers can make),they alway pay and move on.Someone is going to be a millionaire for whistle blowing.

unfortunatly I thought the same thing as you, "oh this will take a long time, its not going anywhere for a while." but i've been talking to my friends at other pharma companies and they said none of their investigations ever went as fast or as far as ours. Think about it, the company has already hired lawyers and everyone has talked to them and copied our computers, if this was going to take forever I doubt they would be taking such quick action. I think someone is going to get their millions, and the rest of us are SOL, cause Strativa is going to lose Megace ES and then we will only have Nascobal, as great as that product is going to be.

Dr., here's a nasal spray for 200 dollars a month instead of 4 dollar injections, oh dr. your not going to write it firstine, but why????

We are so screwed!!!
