Easy now, just background noise
If this was any concern, FDA would've shut things down already

It isn’t a big deal. They are old. Patients will die. They die on every drug. The problem with this class of drugs is that the press is relentless. I was at Biogen for the debacle. Hand to God, I hope that for the sake of patients (I’m not usually this sentimental), Lilly fights back and doesn’t f up their launch like Biogen did (i really don’t think it’s possible to do any worse). They are good drugs! The whole “is it clinically meaningful” BS is just that - BS. Look at the scores for CDR-SB in the EARLY stages. A half a point is a pretty damn significant difference.
You are fighting against the dirty underbelly of academia. Plenty of the critics just want their names in the press. Of those vocal adcom turds, only one was a nephrologist, and he doesn’t even treat AD! Plus, some are against these drugs because it will totally screw with their research. If these drugs work, other drug companies will divert dollars to AB mabs vs other MOAs. Current clinical trials will have people dropping out to get on these meds if they become widely accepted, so they will lose money for current trials.
Any news, especially negative news, about these drugs is major click bait. It’s cancel culture at its finest. Even if a doctor is sold, patients read this drivel and get scared.
It’s all about the money - worse than I’ve seen it in 20 years in this industry.
To those of you who take these jobs, my family & I thank you, and I sincerely hope that Lilly’s PR department doesn’t sit on their hands like Biogen’s did.

GTFO dude. The AD drugs are a money grab by companies and Lilly is no different. It’s already been proven that the plaques & tangles theory is BS.

These drugs are subjective & based on a patient with me more problems telling the HCP if they think they have improved lmaooooo. Or better yet they depend on a care giver guessing whether they think the patient has improved and relaying that to the HCP.

Does any AD drug really work? No one knows for sure.

Plus these new drugs are for mild only. Most patients present at moderate by the time they reach the HCP

Money grab?!? Biogen made so much they scrapped the division after one year. And they made so much money they scrapped the division. Some of your insight is true. Others completely off. Plaques and tangles is a bs theory. No amyloid removal is the bs research. Get your facts straight.

As former military and the child of a pilot, Southwest needs to get it together

Sounds just as dumb as the bullshit that you typed.
You are wrong. First of all, the analogy is nonsensical. Second, companies need to stop the nonsense of spending billions on therapeutics that have ZERO chance of working. I wish you all the best. Do you even have a modicum of knowledge of how the public is being misled? Of course not, you privileged, in-bred yuppie moron.

As a former Lilly employee with a parent with Alzheimer's, I wish the company would stop wasting time on this nonsense.

Let's play "Antibodies for Alzheimers!"

There are so many genetic, dietary, behavior components here... with the exception of an extremely small number of genetic early AD cases. Agree with you completely.

Biogen/FDA pulled a fast one and it's insane to think that an antibody would be appropriate here. It is a colossal systemic failure of our pharma companies and regulatory bodies. Stop this nonsense

You are a complete f-ing moron. First of all, the only genetic factor identified...which is showing to be quite f-ing significant...and it is responsible for increasing accumulation of AB!!!

You people don't know a goddamn thing. You are typical Americans who read headlines versus details and hope on any bandwagon that suits your mood. I bet you dumbasses still don't think COVID was a big deal or that masks worked...on the flat earth. Idiots.

eat less food, eat better food, eat early in the day but not at night, exercise 30minutes a day doing something you enjoy that breaks a sweat, have honest relationships and self-honesty, manage stress… There may not be a pill or injection that is a magic bullet.

Just what is your job title and background? Would your mother approve of this kind of language?
