Frankly they haven’t put one thing they’ve said in writing yet so I don’t believe any of it will actually happen. They have repeatedly said how my B&L wants us but they also (almost exactly 1 year ago) told us in Austin and then in Chicago and again in several calls that Novartis was committed to eye care, that we kept the lights on and that we mattered. They said that because it’s what we wanted to hear and what they needed us to believe.

Here we are again. They are telling us what we want to hear (you will all have jobs. B&L wants this sales force) as well as what they need us to believe (so that we don’t all quit it stop working before the deal closes). Every company, not jus Novartis, but especially Novartis, is out for themselves. The senior leadership have no spines and no ethics for how to treat employees. I stand by my initial comment on here that we are all disposable. Don’t believe anything they say.

No matter how many take-overs you've been through, it is not a comfortable feeling. The formula is similar. They lie and say what they want you to believe to keep business moving forward. Leadership here is a joke. Des, Tad the RD's, they all manipulate emotions to keep the herd from dispersing. It's a nice way to say they lie, cheat and manipulate. Believe nothing and be pleasantly surprised, but DON'T take anything you are told by leadership as fact. Good luck all. I believe we will need it.
 








Look here’s the thing. That additional bonus they’re talking about so insulting it’s disgusting. Just a bunch of garbage that will reward the very small minority. Even though I’ll probably get a little extra it’s nowhere near what some of the NY folks are getting. It’s also insulting that they are so desperate to motivate us that they actually think this will do it.

I haven’t had motivation here since the B&L acquisition was announced at the end of June. The maybe of a few extra thousand bucks isn’t gonna do it. How bout put something in writing like the fact that I will indeed have a job at B&L, for what pay and benefits, in what territory, will I have partners, what will I carry in my bag, when do I get a new car, how long will I be pulled from the field to train etc etc. then maybe I’ll commit to working. This is a 2 way street and right now they’re expecting us to bust our butts when we honestly don’t know what our future looks like on 30 days and yet they can’t commit to anything on paper.

How in the world do they send an email about our cars getting taken away on Oct. 1 without any follow up? Doesn’t something like that warrant a conference call more than any of the other useless calls we’ve had?

If my car gets picked up on Oct 1st, then what?? Am I stranded at home until B&L gets their shit together? There was no mention of a rental car
