Does Novartis pay for unused vacation when you leave?

Anyone I know who resigned has gotten their vacation paid. You need to make it clear in your resignation letter that your want to take the vacation as the last 3-4 weeks of your time. IE you retire Jan 1, take your 4 weeks vacation, and you are paid until Feb 1

That is not getting paid for your vacation it is taking it before you leave. If they paid you for it, you would get the cash for those days as you walk out the door.

They will pay for unused vacation, because that is vacation earned. Some people are really stupid. I left 3 companies and they all paid my vacation. It's mine and I earned them....

If you are in the U.S. It's law, you must be paid your vacation time. You should verify how much you have accrued in whatever system you are using (not the spread sheet in your managers office). This does not include personal days.
