Does Merck have roomates at meetings?

Some development groups at Merck used to share rooms at the hotel at which technical meetings were held. Haven't done so in 15 years. Instead either Managers or Directors go in place of the researchers or, unless someone is presenting, they don't go to meetings. Many groups at Merck are still traveling like its 1999. But during budget-setting time (now), those travel budgets are juicy fruit.
 






Yes, back in the dark ages (1980), we had roommates. Sr's and Exec's had the perk of their own room. Enter more women in the field and voila - private rooms for everyone! Best thing women brought to this business imho.
 






The last rumor I heard was Merck management is seriously considering co-ed lodging at meetings. Make sure you bring clean underwear - Must properly Dress for Success!!
