Reached out to top 5 rep in country to see what she is doing different, she said nothing, but she has a specialty pharmacy that started reporting. WTF?

California reps are screwed because Amgen doesn’t but Blue Shield of CA or Anthem Blue Cross…no more Acreedo either. In some territories it’s 40-50% of the business that we reps DON’T get credit for. It’s pretty deflating to hear almost daily in offices the doc started new patients on Enbrel…but it’s Blue Shield or Anthem. When there are contests around NBRX and we don’t get credit for the actual business we’re generating it sucks! Not a fair playing field from state to state.

The rule of thumb is that if you don’t like your sales numbers and ranking then Amgen sucks and you are a victim of bad reporting or non-reporting. You should gripe to your manager and use that as an excuse for your performance. Under no circumstances should you be accountable for your results. The reps ranked high are no better than you and aren’t doing anything different. Heck….you might be doing more.

If you are ranked really high then you are a much better rep and everyone else is just making excuses.
