Hi!

I was just wondering if ANYONE likes the sales rep position? I have absolutely NO experience and have always wanted to be in the pharma industry. I have a couple of friends who work for the company and assure me that they really like it. And then I come across this message board and there is only negativity.

I was really excited to get the job and felt like the hiring process was really competitive.

Any words of advice/hope/anything?
 












So much depends on your manager. If you have a good/decent manager, you can probably enjoy the perks of this job (pay, flexibility, not being stuck in an office all day) without too much focus on the negatives. If you have a bad manager, your life will suck more than the worst office job in the world. Unfortunately with Forest these days, most people have bad managers and are miserable....
 






I have a pretty good manager but am still completely miserable. The job never ends anymore with the bullshit spreadsheets, endless ride alongs and the feeling that what you do is never enough. I cant wait to get laid off.

ah a young neophite-just what frx wants-so naive and clueless that your schmuckie dm will have you chasing doc's down halls and sneaking around office protocols till you get thrown out-cause your young and stupid... and don't forget to probe and ask questions and use your vis aid and chew with onions in mouth
 












How did you get hired with no experience.......did you have any B to B experience. I have just under a year experience in pharma sales and I cant even get a call from HR. Help me out, do you have a contact name and number i can use.
 












10 year frx rep here, things have never been worse, morale is sinking, Dms are all about checking boxes and making their reps look like shit so they can keep their own jobs, cant wait to get outta here, might file that lawsuit as I go
 












I just got a 26K MONTHLY bonus in Med devices. Why Pharma?...you can get to the HOLY GRAIL of sales selling devices. Don't get me wrong - you will work your butt off....but 250K a year.....I will clean toilets during my 5 minute lunch break
