Does Amgen offer "Summer Fridays?"

I work for a small biotech and I'm petitioning for "Summer Fridays." This would be half-days every Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I need to compile a list of benefits offered at bigger biotechs. Does Amgen offer anything like this? What do other companies offer?
 












Amgen offers full-time employment. You should focus on that. We used to talk about silly things like Summer Fridays. Now we're focused on productivity. Don't take 20 years to get there too. Don't come here for good advice either. Oh to be young and naive again.

Do you pay as much time to your job as apparently you do with wonderful weekends? You are there to work, not have a never ending party.
 






Actually, we offer Summer Monday thru Friday's. It's quite a good deal. You just have to be an exec director or above to qualify... or work in development where the benefit is offered year-round....

Now, yer talkin! My kind of operation, FUN FIRST, then indolence.

Company motto should be "if you can't have it, don't do it". That'l learn em.

Some of the so-called employees coun't spill scientest or even sailsman. That were yesterday; today they are won! Now thas prowgres.
 






I also work for a small Biotech and they do have summer Fridays. For non exempt, you need to fill out a form and make up the hours during the week. For exempt, it is awesome AND now this company is doing it year round! Work Life balance!
 






"Work Life Balance" is not something you ask for at Amgen, unless you are asking how you can you sacrifice more of your life to do more for Amgen. ITS A COMPETITION TO SEE WHO CAN PUT IN THE MOST HOURS... and wreak the most havoc on your personal life!

Well, we get them at our site (outside the USA)...infact they start in a week...sweet!
Been an FTE 15 years and management in my dept has always encouraged work/life balance...making sure we take our vacaton time, holding fun team build events, going off-site for regualr team meetings (StarBucks etc), staff parties, flexible work hours etc etc etc.

Sounds like you guys go into a wicked dept or something...not the Amgen I've known.
