Without giving myself away, my manager recently suggested that I start browsing and entertaining other opportunities. Clearly it wasn't stated exactly that way, but I knew what they had meant. My manager was very clever with their comments without making them come out and say it. I appreciated the sincere honesty and believed they were looking out for my family and I. You see, I don't want to be caught off guard and BANG game over. I have decent sales comparable to others and not near the bottom, but I am concerned if we have much time left. It seems our positive sales bucket isn't even coming close to our negative dollar bucket. More money is going out than coming in.
I have asked a few people that I would consider "in the know" and I am left with very vague and evasive answers. I know when it is over, we will all be left with no severance or even earned bonus and this is not a very comforting thought. An earlier comment suggested we have lost 45 million since the beginning of the year. Does anyone know how much money is left to sustain us? Also, many believe the price change was timed to help ensure getting to the 13 million target which will be a big challenge regardless. I also really felt the company skimmed over the company survey very quickly as everyone i know hadnt rated anything very high. They almost made it sound like we were close to a perfect 5 rating. Last night, I was caught off guard when my daughter came inches to my face and asked "is everything ok?". It made me feel terrible as I realized I let my guard down and was staring in space anxious about starting all over again Monday morning. I won't appreciate any insulting, but does anyone else feel this way?
