Comparing Apple to a Blueberry

Apple produces gadgets that everybody wants.
Pfizer produces medications that few people "really" want.

Perhaps Pfizer should produce things that are not as risky or highly regulated in order to take off to the next level

Stupid comment. The difference is want and need. People want Apple crap, but they need Pfizer medicines to live.

As for the original premise, I am waiting to hear the why, perhaps a tax issue. Why not take the proceeds and donate it? Turning it down smells of a tax move.

This is what we need in Pfizer - CEOs that are fired and don't get a parachute worth millions..............

"Yahoo ended Scott Thompson's four-month stint as its CEO without giving him a severance package, according to documents filed Monday. Thompson, 54, left Sunday in a management shake-up triggered by inaccurate information in his official biography. He would have been entitled to a severance package if Yahoo had terminated him "without cause," according to the contract he signed in January."
