Do you really have to be a millionaire to be a contract rep?

Is it a prerequisite. I just need a job and I know the pay is really low. From reading all the posts it sounds like the only individuals taking these low paying positions are all retired millionaires with no bills no children and no worries.

When you say pay is really low, what are you comparing it too? $60k for 20-25 hours a week isn't all that bad. If your 'young & ambitious' you can find something else to make money at with the other 20-25 hours. So it's all relative to what you considered low? My wife and I both work for CSO's and we make bout 120-140 k a year with 3 kids in catholic school at 2k a pop per year (x3 kids). We both have been at CSOs for 5+ years so it will help you live within your means and not get a fat head or ego like most of the rubes in pharma sales.

What a mean thing to say. If someone is working and paying their way and childrens way through life..that is great. I have sucha problem with the blood suckers out there..living off gov..food stamps..free healthcare it all makes me sick. GET a job. We are in a very tough economy right now. CSO is not the perfect world job, but we are certainly not living in a perfect world at the moment. I was in big Pharma for many many yrs and I recently took a CSO position. It is not bad at all. The pay is decent and the hrs are very flexible. It works for me. PS I am not a loser.
 






Millionaires? I work with so many contract reps that want everyone to believe they just do this job to have something to do because they are so wealthy and don't need to work. Why not get a real job doing something that requires skill and is impressive on some level? I dont believe any of these "richies". They all dress and look poor as shit!
