Do you believe anything management ever says

Over the 30 plus years in pharma and I've told my managers as well, I don't believe anything management tells me. From sales figures to market share to what some survey result says. Every company I have worked for has been number 1 in the same category and they all are in the middle of the pack when it comes to compensation and benefits.

I do my job to the best of my ability and have had steady success. My managers have been mostly good the others all got promotions and I enjoy what I do. I guess I'm asking does anyone still buy and get hyped up from what management tells them. In my case I can do without it, tell me what you need and I will do my best to achieve and try to surpass it.

What you said is exactly why age discrimination is so rampant in this industry. Anyone that has been in this industry for more than 10 years knows that marketing is mostly full of shit and so are the managers that get their direction from the top.

Many young men and women that come out of college actually believe that they have the best drug on the market and for all situations. They are usually a little more pushy and much more naïve. Ever notice the doctors cringe when the younglings come in?

Oh stop it. The the commercial side of this industry has been dead or stagnant for well over a decade. Fresh talent would not come near this industry with a ten foot pole. Look around. the technology world is full of bright talent, sales and otherwise that would have flocked to pharma and biotech at one time when it was innovative and not so handcuffed by regulatory. there is no real direction because everyone is out of ideas. You should have moved out of the industry years ago.
