Do the benefits suck as bad as they read?

The healthcare plan doesn't look much better than something I could but on my own. 1x salary for life insurance? These are the kind of benefits you'd expect from a manufacturing company. Guess I answered my own question.

Pie is a dessert. Everyone wants some. That's why they call it pie.
Benefits and pay are like pie. Everyone wants that pie too.

Stock options are like pie. Companies expense those just like benefits.

When you've given many pieces of pie to just a few executives past and present.
There's not much pie left for others and other "dessert".

That's why ther call it pie. Hospira pie...or "pi square".

Most of the Sr level people at his company have a 'Let them eat cake' attitude towards anyone below the VP and Director level. They treat everyone else like shit/with contempt and it shows in the shit-bag health benefits they give to the employees.

True. It's a great place to be a sr exec though...get paid like a rock star to fuck up/loot the company.

The medical is not good but the 401k is very generous. They also have an excellent benefit for adoption.
