I am a spine distributor, and am evaluating new lines to carry. Seriously looking at Stryker vs. Aliphatic, and a few other lesser known spine companies.
The average percentage payouts with Stryker and Alphatec seem low, 20 -22 percent and 18 percent respectively.The no name spine company payouts are 40 percent. I have four busy spine MD relationships currently. I'd rather stick with the larger company. 1. How does one negotiate a better commission rate? 2. Is 20 to 22 percent too low of a payout?
