Dismal 3rd Quarter Earnings

Why is our company hiring so much? 2 more ZD's, multiple RD's, 40-50 more reps, etc. I guess if I knew we were doing good I wouldn't be as nervous as all of this overhead we are bringing in.

It seems like upper leadership just wants to bring a bunch of old Shire people over as a favor or something. I mean read our 3rd quarter earnings from our website and can't figure out where all this money is coming from or confidence to hire all of these people. I hope this is not a "I will rub your back, if you rub mine" situation from these people who used to work for Shire coming over here.

My sentiments exactly. When I found out I was getting a new ZD again I thought they were crazy hiring knowing I only get a few scripts out of my territory every week. If you look at our earnings statement we have done about 13,000 scripts through 9 months for both Oxtellar and Trokendi. If you do the math that means we do 1444 scripts a month and with 100 territories we are doing 14 scripts a month per territory.

That equals out to 3-4 scripts a week per territory which is not very good and is why on our earnings statement we are bleeding so much cash. I mean 1 million dollars in revenue in product sales! We have gone through non-GAAP earnings of almost $70 million. That can't last much longer so I don't get it. What am I not seeing

Why are we hiring so many new people then? I do love this company but want to know why they feel so confident because in talking to a bunch of other pharma reps 3-4 scripts a week sucks compared to their companies so our leadership must be filling us full of hot air.
 






My manager just says that Trokendi is killing it! Well if that is compared to Oxtellar's launch then of course it is killing it. Oxtellar was one of the worse launches in history so if you compare it to the worst then of course it is doing better.

Scares me how much money this has to cost in overhead...how much do RD's and ZD's get paid anyways? My $60k with minimal bonus this year will be a bit higher than Enterprise but I felt like I had a future over there...I am getting nervous about 2014
 


















Good thing we have the $100 extra million from investors... i wonder when the panic will start? They say we are all doing so good but when I look at this it does make me nervous...Will we ever be able to cover our SG&A?
 












That Q3 statement only incorporates a fraction of Trokendi XR revenue. We had Avery good Q4 and are trending ahead of forecast. That is why the board signed off on the expansion.

Where do you see the this fraction of Trokendi in the Earnings Statement? I highly doubt a smart Board of Directors will go off anything but fact. Plus to expand to double our sales force on maybe each territory doing 20 scripts a month instead of 14 doesn't validate hiring that much more overhead. I ran Enterprise in multple branches across the country and I know that there is omethin missing here. It seems as though there are some favors getting returned from upper management to their old Shire friends...who else see this?
