Does anyone know what the disability or maternity package is with Publicis? Been here over a year, just curious if you must work till due date or with back pain, swelling etc. get you out n disability status. I know different pharmaceutical companies have different views on this. Has any full time rep been pregnant with Publicis and can tell me your story? Serious replies only. And no I am not trying to work the system just need to know how to use my vacation days, etc because already in 8th month and in a lot of pain.

If you are not trying to work the system then why don't you just call HR.

I did, hey couldnt tell me until i put in a claim and id like to use all my vacation up front to off set cost if i can. I have to go out early regardless but if they would pay something I'd like to know so I can set my finances for whatever outcome plus once claim is in they won't let me use my vacation days.

If you have been there for a year, you get 8 weeks from the day you go out. That is also when you start your 12 week FMLA. Even if it is a disability, it counts toward your maternity if you go out early.

I asked to by law they have to give u Fmla which is 12 weeks job protected leave, they will only pay you for 6 weeks or 8 weeks depending on your delivery and you can take up to the remainder of the 12 weeks but you will be unpaid

why should anyone want to help you with info on how to have the company pay for you to lazy around after you planned to get knocked up? Why is pregnancy a disability? CALL YOUR HR YOU CAP FREAK!

I'm not the original poster, but I really hope you don't have children or don't ever plan on having children. You sound like an awful person and should not be bringing children into this world. Seriously. Grow up.

yes all people are horrible and should not have children if they are against people working the system. There is a huge difference between being pregnant and being disabled. Pregnancy leave is maternity leave, disability is disability. Let’s not generalize and get the two confused. I don’t think OP has a concept of what it’s like at other companies where they hardly get a few weeks for maternity leave. She is trying to play victim and trying to take advantage of the generous maternity time off otherwise why do you think she will not just call HR?

If you wanted a good maternity leave you should have signed up for contract sales! The "client" pays for a certain number of calls. Publicis even frowns on someone using a sick day for God's sake, let alone weeks out to take care of some kid!!!! If you wanted "benefits", hire on with a real pharma company not a joke like Publicis.

I'm against people working the system too. But YOU need to get your facts straight. You can be pregnant and be on disability at the same time. Many people go on it for various reasons and are not "working the system". Some reasons would be early bed rest, preclampsia, etc. Some of these conditions are near fatal for mother and or child. Some Mother's have complications after the birth of the child that would require being out on disabilty for some time. This is not uncommon at all. So before you go spouting off like a moron, have some idea of what you are speaking of. Again, I'm guessing you don't have children or you wouldn't be posting such non-sense.

so tired of pregnant people thinking the world owes them, and revolves around them. You have a job, with responsibilities. I have had to cover for so many of you slackers....and I'm female!
