Director kids as interns

yes, one director has two kids as interns.

Is it an abuse - no, because someone made the hires.

Although, I would say this type of "opportunity" shown to a director impinges on the "opportunity for a non-white, non-abbv legacy, non-director kid who needs exposure and experience. Do you think an internship at a top three bio pharma is coveted by others?

I think we can do better as an organization. This is the kind of allowed, but grey activity, which tarnishes culture.

The victims are the talent never seen, the kids who are coddled because of their parent's name and the program which now is tarnished for lack of selection awareness.

We have to do better!

NEPOTISM SHOULD BE BANNED!! This scenario is similar to the rich people paying for their kids to go to USC or Stanford!! The Director should be ASHAMED of his actions/undo influence on the intern hiring practices!! HR show some spine and stop this from occurirng!!

Stop hiring liberals ruining our company ruining our country. It’s never enough never capitulate. I’ll select who I want to work with, if you don’t like it leave!

The only thing I disagree with this post is implying that Abbvie is a top pharma company. You're company is the bottom of the barrel. My guess these kids applied to all the top companies and didn't get in. The choice of you're company was a last resort bottom of the barrel move. This will result in a strike against them on their resume or their efforts to get in a good graduate program or professional school.

So obviously the directors's kids make better employees than you. You complain, the director worked hard, and his kids will probably too. SO, stuff your non white crap up your arse
