I don't know if it was necessary, but they had some good tips on Windows 7. The majority of the class had no experience with Windows 7.

A new resource is only good if you know how to use it. While much has not change there are some "tweaks" that are very useful - you would not know them if you were not shown how to access/use them. So yes, it was useful. The first session was very basic but the second was quite good.

The 2nd session was much better. At the end some of us stayed on a bit longer with the trainer. He showed us how to completely block the company from tracking our use of porn sites and CP in IE8
