Do you trust management at NNI?
This issue of not listening to the field with regards to competitive IC? $1500 bump? What a joke.
We have $$$ for programs but not for field reps IC.

What is NNI actually getting right for the field at this point? Let me guess, the field is the blame and will be laid off around Thanksgiving?

Wait you didn’t know this was a good problem to have??

Novo is on thin ice. Another layoff (or "restructure" as it's called) and people are done. 3rd time did the trick but 4th time will really do some damage. No one will refer in talent. Any remaining talent thats not a favorite will go to any other pharma company that pays (seeing that Novo is no longer "not big pharma").
Even the survivors will look to leave

Well, we did get Veteran’s Day and Juneteenth off (even though we already have unlimited vacation time, of course!).

Thanks, Doug! I can take those days to ponder why you chose to give us a 4% raise when inflation is at 8%.

Such a poorly run company from the top down. Is it tunnel vision or are they just totally blind? They are taking no action to reverse what is happening. What kind of result do they expect? The future is bleak with these idiots driving the bus.

I really don’t think it is the responsibility of your employer to ensure that raises outpace inflation. If prices go down, are you expecting a decrease in salary? I don’t think so. Just shut the fuck up.

Actually, sure, that would be the result of deflation. We haven’t had deflation in the US in at least 50 years though, so why don’t you shut the fuck up, as it’s clear you have very little knowledge about economics.

The reason so many good people have left NNI is that other companies are willing to pay what we won’t. As inflation eats away at our middling salaries and the company chooses to not keep up, this will only accelerate departures.

One thing I am truly grateful for - this company kept us employed during Covid, when many others simply laid off people.
The company had its best years ever during the pandemic. Newsflash: people don’t stop taking their meds when there’s a quarantine. Why on earth would they have laid off and been forced to retrain everyone when the economy reopened when there was no financial imperative to do so?

The folks who laid off were those impacted - manufacturing, restaurants, tourism, etc. not Big Pharma.

Should Covid and NNI be a mention?
The 100% payout for DCS - most reps lost $5-8k in south on that adjustment, so that march adjustment actually made money for the company, while most reps in good territories lost lots of IC.
There was a lay off during Covid. Most pods went from 3 to 2 reps. Maybe I am off on timing but it was close. This was the layoff MAry M was in charge of and they blamed for the horrible 6-8 month process.
Just more and more uninformed people telling lies because they really don’t know what is going on..
Many many unintended consequences at NNI.

Yes, very grateful of no layoffs during the pandemic. Not grateful they kept telling us the lie of no layoffs for the year (2020) and then there was restructuring by the end of the year. One more heaping onto the leadership distrust pile.

I would just like to make it through one day without a TEAMS call. Let us work!! We have a message to deliver. Instead of making a call right now, I’m waiting on a Teams call to start.

Don’t forget Yammer, Degreed, Novo Connect, ERG/other committees we get Voluntold to be on; mandatory teams calls in the middle of the day but yet tell us to make all of calls, see more HCPs, do #1more interface, pharmacy, etc. Basically, do your job and “play the game” as to what is the “flavor of the month”. On a positive note, I like what they are doing w DEI&B, development, etc. the culture is changing. At least in my area.

The pandemic began in 2019. Layoff was effective January 4. So there’s that little fact.
Sorry, wrong. 2020. Returned from Vegas POA in February 2020, pulled out of field on March 13, 2020. Notified of “realignment” August 2020. After being told we would have info about new structure and “displacements” by October 1, 2020 it came November 15, 2020. Were pulled back out of field. New structure with less people January 4, 2021.

Yes. Sorry I meant to include Jan 4 of 2021. My bad. The point was to counter the person who said..well at least we weren’t laid off during the pandemic. I guess he meant -at least “I wasn’t laid off….”

Maryellen’s 6-month death march was unconscionable. How utterly inept to announce a layoff 6 months in the future, destroy morale -and- productivity, then, botch the execution of the plan.

If there’s one upside, it’s that she’s gone.

You must be really young or really stupid. Prices never go down. And it is your employer’s prerogative to pay a competitive market rate for talent. You are a commodity and should be paid according to the market. No company is doing you a favor by allowing you to invest your time and skills to their goals. You should be paid fairly and competitively.
