Did Jeff Fraizer get forced out of Novo?

Jeff didn't want to be part of what is happening right now! Benefit cuts, followed by layoffs when new model launches. He worked hard to maintain a great culture and knew that NVO was heading to big pharma. You'll understand more soon! Novo like so many before will fall from best co to work for to just another big pharma job. Sad

Not really true at all. Jeff went to a small company that was looking to build from basically nothing. Was a dream job for him.

You call The Medicines Company a small start-up, building from nothing? You are delusional.

He did not fit the current "model" of slash and burn of benefits and creature comforts. He worked hard to establish this place as a cut above the rest. His efforts were met with an austere Danish preference for "less is FAR more."

They have less than 600 employees and current Sales less than $1 billion. They are NNI 10 years ago when Jeff started. Are they a 'start-up'? No, but that's not what I said. They'd love to go on the same ride NNI has for the last 10 years, and Jeff wanted to lead the way. Compared to where they would love to be, they are essentially starting from nothing.

This didn't have anything to do with Jeff not getting along with anyone else. Jeff, like a lot of folks here, liked the last 10 years more than they anticipate liking the next 10 years.

Welcome to the real world. Jeff and others enjoyed the downhill ride more and wanted it to continue forever. Growing double digit figures is much easier from a low base. The total insulin market size continues to grow, thanks God, but now at a somewhat slower rate. Pressure on prices increase. Competition is catching up. Our innovation has been to damn incremental to keep us ahead of the game for much longer. Of course Jeff was fired. He couldn't deal with reality any more.

Man, I remember as a DMIP that we had and "Executive Lunch" with this guy. He showed up obviously unprepared, showed us no valuable insight into the company or particularly valuable good career advice. Just came, ate lunch, and departed. Waste of time like most of the in house experience.

They hired 1 DMIP and she was the least talented and perhaps dumbest of the bunch, I kid you not.

He got out while the getting was good. Not fired. He's too smart for that.

If you mean "Could no longer schtuup reps, ingrain a culture of "clubby" hiring and foster a general sense of entitlement", you're right.
