Did anyone who won PC this year get cut?

Seems like they made room for any high performer. Even if they moved you to a far away territory just to save you and get rid of the other reps who had been calling on those Drs for years. Just doesn't make good business sense.
 








































Plenty of 'winners' will be cut, see this and every other pharma co's past layoff experiences.

Pharma Detailing is not true selling sense of the bottom line Dollar /Profit world of sells. What Sales organization cuts there best selling people? You may be a great rep with tons of awards but to the accounting department your numbers still don't add up enough to keep you.
 




This is Big Corporate America (not the your jr.high bus, where someone said something to someone to get you in trouble).. Novartis paid Big Money to these consultants who specialize in corporate 'right sizing', they then paid Big Money to outside legal firms who specialize in Corporate CYA during 'right sizing' , they paid big money to outside Accounting firms to come up with a good DOLLAR $ figure (not people count) in cuts to make and Save company money.

Whether you're a rep, dm , Regional , home office you are way out of the loop, unless you are sitting on the top floor at the big table and flying corporate (with family use included)
 








The company understands that PC and Intl winners were all simply a luck of the draw when targets were assigned, numbers were tallied and awards handed out. Just look at the number of people that went from PC to a 1 rating in a year or two. This company never learned to track actual numbers and the money they threw at consultants that never sold a day in their lives just fostered the cluelessness of how to reward hard work and solid relationship building. It will take a long time to shake out all the slime and right-size the sales force for the regulatory landscape that lies ahead. It will not be anywhere near the fieldforce of today - either in numbers or talent. The bottom line will be the bottom line.
 








Poster #10 I hate to tell you but when you win Cornerstone with Novartis it is no longer a lifetime award. There are certain criteria that you must meet every year in order to stay in the Cornerstone Club (top 1/3 sales ranking etc). I know of two people who won Cornerstone in the past and were booted out the very next year. By the way I have the plaques on the wall to prove my winnings. I also believe any of my counterparts would vouch for me also.

This person speaks the truth on Cornerstone award. It is a yearly award given or taken back from the representative.

Precisely....get a real sales job. If you bring in 10x what your cost is you are fine and will never be cut.......I don't want a plaque or letter or star......pay me cash.
 




On Cornerstone: I'd rather be in a Corner STONED! Yeah the new criteria is childish, you got it , they take it back. Moving forward they will put you in a corner and stone you!
