why would pss have new positions posted for AZ? maybe those laid off will be slotted in new positions (multi products) and some wont be avail after all. Thoughts?

Full time on AZ resp contract, I was informed that I was laid off today.
Two full time and one flex time in my district. 
. It was out of the blue. Got the call to go home and my close out materials would be sent. There's an opening in my area too. I hope they pick me up for that.

This is horrible. No notice what so ever.......big slap in the face. Sorry to all those who lost their job. I hope you get on a new contract or find something else soon.
Yep why would they keep you when they can pay a csr 35K to do the same job....
What's the salary on respiratory contract? Or to the person posting that was laid off... What was YOUR salary? Just curious what the rationale is. There are a lot of new postings for CSAs & what I assume are selling positions for "multiple" products. Maybe they're just restructuring and moving things around.
From an arm chair perspective it all has to do with the mighty dollar. Everybody wants to pay less and get more. With AZ cutting costs and laying off their own sales force it only makes sense that expensive contract reps would follow suit. The paint on the wall is starting to dry and a picture is slowly forming. CSA's are less liability to a company and let's face it, that's what reps have become anyway, overpaid CSA's...now we're gonna get lower pay for dropping off samples, literature and consumer promo all the while keeping our traps shut so there's no liability to the company.
I knew this day was coming only not this soon.
