Derm

What is really going to happen to the derm franchise and reps? I still think we don't need as many reps as we still have. Cibinqo is maybe 1 patient or none in an officel. How is this sustainable? And barely getting paid on Eucrisa sales? What does the future of derm look like?

In about 18 months there will be another re-organization and this fall layover reps are going to be looked at to see if they are really needed, which we all know that position is overkill.

i doubt the next re-org is 18 months away. Regardless, you’d be hard pressed to talk any sense into these Pfizer Derm reps…they’re going to hang on to get a severance. Good jobs are out there, but they’re waiting around to get laid off…

It’s been a challenge for them to get to offices w any consistency for sure. The coordination with 2 reps’ routing without stepping on toes and kissing off offices makes for more work. Not really sold on the reasoning. We’ve tried this before and it never really panned out.
Either work independently in your own territory or share a territory with 1 rep and rotate a route. The overlay just never seems to work.

Call centers, tons of FMD's, this division is run by legal and the cuts are coming again. Abro will never take off, n Eucrisa is not enough to sustain this team. Good jobs are out there now. Those who stay are staying cause it's an easy job, no pressure, n you like not having to compete with no more sales numbers. Have fun explaining that to future employers when are you cut.

The future is grim for sure. The sales on Eucrisa and Cibinco are too low to sustain a large and heavily compensated senior sales force. Most reps are working very part time for their 150k-175k base. It’s a great job if you can get past the fear. Wait for a severance and look for a new job after layoff. All the reps I know who got cut during bold moves got better jobs AND got their big severance.

Cibinqo is floundering, a truly awful launch that has senior management looking for answers. Reps who stayed and did not pursue other opportunities are sure to be tarred as not performance driven. Paid on MBO's, Rx's on Cibinqo not tracked, Eucrisa failing and no plans to change the trajectory, multiple competitors in the category and no strategy to blunt them. If you're still with the derm team, you value good benefits, low work, no stress (until cuts come, which they will be), and are not performance driven. Good luck finding a job with another derm company and explaining why you stayed on board theTitanic.

I think TBOs are great. I’m a newbie so I love it. No pressure just build really solid relationships with my Derms this year; and then when the severance comes I’ve got a bunch of folks I can hit the ground running with at my next gig. Guaranteed paycheck and bonus in 22, until we pull Cibinqo and hand Eucrisa over 100% to call center in 23. If Ritno doesn’t get approved 100% bye bye.

100% agree. Why would anyone leave this 11-2 job? Great salary, great benefits, absolutely no pressure, the managers seemingly all the way up to TW are in on it (he's counting the days to retirement). Nobody wants to stir the pot, so let's ride this thing out. Paid on metrics or paid on market share, it's all arbitrary anyhow. Easiest job in pharma, only thing that sucks is the products. More than half my team does real estate on the side, and another one on my team co owns a Smoothie King and is there most of the time. Why would we ever leave this for something we pressure or results oriented until we have to.

Most of us are competitive people. Leadership has taken the competitive fire out of the job and thrown it in the garbage. There is nothing worse than being a competitive person and having to do endless metrics.

You can blame leadership for the environment, but blame yourself for deciding to stay. Admit it: you decided to stay at a job for a MBO payout at target. No upside, but much to your liking, no downside! You’re doing the same thing folks in the home office are doing…working to meet their annual objectives. You are no longer “competitive” in sales, and you don’t want to find a job that will pay you more to compete. You’re complacent. You’re super-soft. You’re 10-ply. Your leadership wants a team exactly like that, and you’re ok with it. You may have been a competitive person some time ago, but you’re ok with coasting now. You and your colleagues are not competitive people.
