Word is that the Depomed "hires" are on hold because they are waiting to see if there is better talent with the old King pain reps just let go by Pfizer. What an underhand decision.

Luv it! What a bunch of front runners Ventiv has in management. Is this Whitneys gig? That drunken sailer couldn't lead a bunch of blind nuns across the street. You think King reps ate going to work hard for a CSO? Not ever! The roll over with BI contract got so out if hand because all the reps where jumping ship once anything cane along to get them out of contract work. This will happen if they think King reps will stay once they come aboard. CSO is like Pharma unemployment to the masses of "big Pharma" reps.

Where did you hear this? I had previous King and/or Pfizer reps at my interview session and I only know of one situation where an offer was given. They knew of layoffs so most would have already applied or been contacted.

There were still some open spots so maybe now some are considering.

Pfizer is full of unhappy robots and King focused mainly on pain care vs. neuro. Who the f knows though.

And, yes Whitney is in charge of this one too.

Where are you getting you info there are only 4 spots left. Once Depomed have the people in place in corporate its a roll over. You sound like the person who did not get the job.

I too had some King reps at my interview. I thought most offers had already gone out after the interviews in Atlanta. Are most people still waiting to hear after they met with the DM and RD?

So what, You will still have to have Ventiv on your resume, and that is a HUGE BLACK MARK on you resume if you are a career pharmaceutical rep. Kind of like going from selling device to selling DME. You will be looked down on. I have been told this by several PROFESSIONAL recruiters.

Since when is there such a thing as a 'career' pharma rep anymore?? Just wait...the big boys are now looking at CSO as their MAIN sales force. Just ask anyone in the upper echelon of Merck. LOL at short sighted rep.

I agree, you dont have to work for a CSO you can remain unemployed or work for McDonalds or step up to Mens Warehouse or Dillards. What the difference between 70 at pfizer who just laid off and Ventiv who just hired?

so true. all the big companies are looking at CSOs. merck is very close and pfizer does not like having reps at all. Why is big pharma the place to be? I got an offer from Depomed and it is higher then I was making at "big pharma".....so glad to be out.
