Dem Gov. suggests suspending elections

Speaking to a Cary Rotary Club today, N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue suggested suspending Congressional elections for two years so that Congress can focus on economic recovery and not the next election.

"I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that," Perdue said. "You want people who don't worry about the next election."

The comment -- which came during a discussion of the economy -- perked more than a few ears. It's unclear whether Perdue, a Democrat, is serious -- but her tone was level and she asked others to support her on the idea.

Something needs to be done although I don't think that's the answer. For example, 2 years after a presidential election, these freaks are focused on a campaign again. WTF? We need more than a 50% effort on the problems of our country.

She is dead on serious and here is why.

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2011/09/27/obama-poll-democrats-2012/

Shevsaw the results of this poll that shows that if the elections were held today, the demalquedacrats would suffer a bigger defeat than in 2010. Barry the Fairy is dragging the entire party down. And this is a poll done by a democrat which means the numbers may actually be worse.

Consider that at this point for an incumbent, he should be courting independents and Barry is having to shore up his base.

It will not be long before the demalquedacrats start calling for Odummy to run and will be screaming for Her Thighness.

They will not stand for Barry to tear down liberalism

We're still better off than if McPalin would've won. McCain would be ready for a nursing home and she'd be looking at the whole White House out her bedroom window. At least now we can start fresh with a 2 male ticket running for orfice.

Put that on a bumper sticker and see how that works for your boy in November

bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
It's hilarious how the libtards keep talking about an administration that never happened, and ignore the one that IS. Speaking of a crazy aunt in the attic! Well, in this case it's crazy Uncle Joe. Geeze, what an administration...that IS.

Only a liberal or a total idiot, oh, sorry, that's redundant. Only a liberal would say such a thing. Just more proof that I'm absolutely correct when I call you a liberal.

McCain, as bad as he would have been, would be far better than Obama and Palin would have been far superior to either McCain or Obama.

And that's not so much an endorsement of Palin as it is a reflection of how poor a choice McCain was and how utterly disasterous Obama has been.

Please provide proof about this statement. A link perhaps?

I think I mentioned before that members of my family (in Tucson) supported McCain financially and otherwise. At one time I thought he was perfect. The fact is, he changes positions faster than a $500 hooker. Example: He has been pro-choice for years - then he sold out during the campaign - just to get votes. I've lost respect for him and I think she's a wing nut.

I won't provide a link, the statement is my opinion - just like your statement about Perry would make a great president. Neither of us can prove either statement - unless they happen/happened, so it's all opinion - just like all the other posts on this forum.

I'm not pleased with Obama at this point either with some exceptions, however, it was essential the Republican party got a message. I think they got it. Now, in my opinion, the Democratic party will be getting a message. I made this point a week ago when I pointed out that the vote last election wasn't as much pro-Obama as it was anti 'status quo' Republican agenda. I apologize for your compromised span of attention. This time it will be against the 'status quo' Obama agenda.

What we need is a president who is fiscally responsible but more man than Boy Scout leader when it comes to a social agenda, like women being free to retain control of their bodies, etc, etc.

Right now I'll put money on Romney - wanna bet?

The most idiotic part of this is that she seems to think politicians should do what THEY think needs to be done, and not represent the views of those who voted them into office. THIS is why congress is such a mess.

People may be frustrated with the slow action in congress, the endless debates and the support of a vote based on whose bill it is instead of the content. But the debate and real assessment of what is being done is sorely needed. To keep doing what has always been done, or to take action for the sake of taking action, doing more harm than good, is just plain stupid. That's what was happening when there was no challenge to obama, reid, and pelosi.
