DEI (&B)

Respectfully, putting a question/comment out there for serious thoughts please:

I’ve observed a significant dropoff in the number of postings on LinkedIn that speak to DEI topics or positions (new positions, promotions etc.).

The topic has virtually fallen off the major media outlets (NYT, CNN, WaPo, WJS for example), except for when a company announces their disbanding their department and associated policies.

Are you seeing the same things?

American Airlines Agrees to End Illegal Discrimination in Hiring, Recruiting, and Employment Practices Following AFL’s Civil Rights Complaint

American companies must return to using merit—not the desire to check a DEI box—to select the most skilled and qualified employees. American Airlines’ agreement with the OFCCP is AFL’s latest victory in our fight to put illegal discrimination on the no-fly list,” said Will Scolinos.

Lol if the hiring for most corporate jobs was actually based off merit 75% of the white men in leadership positions currently 100% wouldn’t have their jobs. I’ve never met more incompetent men than the long term men in management here in my life

They have found that companies are making bad hires to check the DEI&B box. The person that is best for the job doesn’t fit the DEI&B qualifications so they hire someone else that is not as good just to fit DEI&B.
So many companies are stopping that requirement as it is hurting their bottom line to invest in training new employees that are not going to succeed when they could have just hired the right fit.

NNI has stated it we will double down on these DEIB initiatives in 2025, despite other much smarter companies abandoning these programs here in the US. Too many people here are entrenched in these leftist ideals or are otherwise benefiting financially from furthering them. Many other companies have admitted it either hurt their bottom line and actually created more division instead of inclusion. The problem here is that the leadership in the US who can influence these decisions are completely in on the grift and woke-ism.

This rule is yet to be disproven: "go woke, go broke!"

It’s problematic that you feel skin color has anything to do with job performance. Why do you care? Is how we look what matters? There are good & bad employees of all skin colors.

The largest private sector employer in the USA just ended their DEI programs.
Walmart for the record.

I know for a fact that some of our true higher-up ET ( and formerly departed) are very anti DEIB programs but Novo is forced to play the game as an active member of the W E F . Most of the regional leads, VP, RVP, RBDs etc. are very onboard with these programs unfortunately.
