DEI above everything else

The amount of non-qualified people being hired and/or being promoted in the company is amazing. I am all for hiring and promoting based on education, ability to get the job done, maturity, and a clear mind which is focused on productivity. Is it me or am I watching the company DIE due to DEI?

Could not agree more with this DEI bullshit! We all know companies have quotas to fill but where does it stop? Even my wife, who is all about woman in leadership, said yesterday there are only a few woman who can handle being in corporate leadership roles. Let’s see Derm- Female VP, UC/MS- Female VP although I question that, Rheum- Female VP, so 3 of the biggest brands have female leadership. Hmmmm? Also the leaders under them outside of Derm are either Female or a minority. Funny how this group complains about more minorities need to be in leadership when in fact the white male has become the minority. This place is so toxic.

DEI is just a dressed up acronym for officially sanctioned discrimination. It means giving “extra credit” because of the color of your skin/ethnicity. It means discriminating against Asians, Caucasians, and promoting/hiring anyone else over them. It deepens the riff between races and causes deep resentment. It means the company no longer wants to hire the best. And last but not least, it’s at the top of the Democratic agenda.

Not that the commenters posting here are remotely open to an honest dialogue but you may want to keep a few things in mind: (1) DEI is about more than race and ethnicity; the fact that you focused on those attributes alone says a lot about you (2) white women have actually been the biggest benefactors of DEI and (3) look around you - white men still wield a lot of power and are in the highest/most influential roles.
