Declining support for Fosrenol?

OK, so we're not where the idiot analysts predicted, but it's a tough, entrenched market. I see headway being made. Why does it seem like the Big Brain is starting to turn their back on us?

Nephrologists have a history of toxic binders (aluminum, calcium) so they're naturally worried. I'm not saying it's justified, just natural. Let's be patient.

The docs in my territory SUCK!!! At least I'm not the bottom feeder in my group, though. I can't believe how friggin' stagnant these docs are. I'm being niched for the worst case scenarios then get blamed when it doesn't work. BS. Put the "Gel" up against those criteria and they'd do the same!!

I'm in the middle of the pack but I'm amazed because I feel like noone's really making this a first choice med. Our top rep said she has one (ONE!) neph using her stuff because their kids go to school together. Her other docs are like mine- use it only when they have to. She's going to win rep of the year because her damn kids!! She won the Fosrenol lottery!

I'm also in the middle of the pack, but the calcium binder is kicking my ass, Renagel is up there but not alot of complaints against PhosLo. Most docs aren't buying calcium=calcification story Genzyme tried to pull. PhosLo is our biggest competition.

So we got promoted to sell this piece of crap, huh? So how do they treat us? Ridiculous ride-a-longs that are absurd, bs sales call expectations that just make our customers resent us and a total Big Pharma approach to a biotech arena that makes us a friggin' laughing stock. God, it's embarrassing. A bad drug with freakin' android loser bosses with "Hey, we have a new ACE Inhibitor" direction and a total need to show w'ere "Shire guys!!!" and not have a life. Listen, if our bosses want to live that life- fine. But I want to be a rep. I'm getting my ass kicked by the other "non-calcium" binder and I need some help.

I love when a clever Phoslo rep hops on this board posing as a Shire rep. So cunning you are! No wonder Nabi hired you to sell the cheapest drug on the market.

Who are you, Wile E. Coyote? "Cunning," "Clever,"?

Oh, dag nabbit, foiled again!!!!

Fosrenol SUCKS!!!!! Metal-based hockey puck- YUCK!!!

Train Wrecks Only, table for two!!!!!

Re: Possible interview?

Can anyone give me the scoop on this company, i am in the metropolitian detroit area, is this a good company to work for, are the interviews intense, and where is training

Re: Possible interview?

You're putting the guy down for having the cheapest drug on the market? I wish our drug were that cheap, maybe we could get this thing out of the ditch!

Re: Possible interview?

I'm afraid we're stuck in the ditch. The 1 gram needed to come out earlier- there's no support for our drug, now. We didn't offer the "god send" efficacy we promised. Maybe b/c it's they gave us the train wrecks, but crap still stinks.

Re: Possible interview?

There's no "god-send efficacy" for binding PO4 - stop trying to sell that idea to us. PO4 food restrictions are hell for patients to adhere to and most are just going to eat more PO4 than a 1 gram Fosrenol or 5 800mg Renagel per meal (yep, you read that right 4-5 per meal for most of my pts!) can bind. Max I'm comfortable with writing Phoslo is 3 tid and serum calciums start creeping up at that unless the pt is also on Sensipar.

Keep promoting your 1 gram. Patients like it much better than the 500s because it's more crumbly and is easier for them to chew.

You've got a good product. The close timing of Fosrenol's and Sensipar's launch is what hurt you guys. Sensipar is incredible for treating hyperparathyroidism but does lower ca++, so Phoslo works well to counteract this. Eventually, as Sensipar works to lower PTH, calcuim's shoot back up, and you guys are good to go.

Re: Possible interview?
