#1 We are all thankful to have jobs in this economy. Check.
#2 We do have the best products all categories. Check
#3 We appreciate the marketing money to help our clients and most promotions. Check.
#4 We understand that you are "trying" to help us and generate more sales. Thank you. Check.

HOWEVER,
Please, for the love of God, STOP. IT. with the enrollments. The sales force has enough on our plates with selling promotions, fighting our science with new competitors, and managing 3-C. Yes, "managing" 3-C. I said it. Everyone that is in the field knows what that means. It looks good for our company to be able to "keep track" of us, but, it actually hurts performance if they REALLY analyzed it. (at a rep level, not at a computer tracking level)

Okay, back to enrollments. How many this year are we doing? I get being measured in sales performance against my collegues. That is a normal sales job.

However, to have to be out enrolling every Tom, Dick, and Harry in every program? Our offices range from large multi-vet offices that are high-tech to mom and pop ones that have NO internet access. Yet, everyone needs to be enrolled in everything and I will be measured, tracked, and judged on this.

It used to be that I would "ask" occasionally for a favor at the end of the quota for an additional sale if they were going to be ordering in a week or two anyways. (once again, normal behavior to hit our numbers, isn't that what we get paid to do?) Now I am using my "favors" for, "Please can I enroll you in this program even though you don't have a computer and you don't want anything to do with this promotion?" Please???

Let's ANALYZE this:
Most office managers are "head receptionists or head techs" that do the ordering. They are not college graduates and get their jobs on default because they have been there the longest. They get paid between $12-$25 an hour depending on the practice. They are managing everything for the office, NOT just Merial promotions, coupons, and websites. That alone is a full time job! I actually had a vet tell me that he is sick of all these enrollments and the amount of time it takes their office to manage these. Mind you, he is PAYING them to do it. Just like the new promo--- enter 5 combo sales for a $15 gift card. Really? They have to go on and put the information into a computer AND send in their receipts? Once again, many don't even have internet access!

We have heard that they are SICK of the craziness. Multiple websites, passwords to keep track of, and confusion overall. Look at our enrollments this year. Am I missing any of them?

#1 Satisfaction Plus Enrollments
#2 Join121212 Enrollments
#3 Client Connection Plus (round 1, round 2, and round 1,000 to hit the number given to our parent company) Why isn't the person that overdelivered on that promise and misprojected getting on a PIP?
#4 MSRP2 Merial Rewards PLUS for Clinics
#5 protectmoreearnmore enrollment

This is on top of all of the other things that the office managers do with Merial. Coupons, coupons and more coupons. They love those when our competitors have mail ins that don't take away from their profits. :/

Okay, that is just the list until July. How many more new websites, enrollments, and confusing programs are the next 6 months?

We see these clinics between every 2 weeks and 6-8 weeks depending on the territory. Do you think this is reasonable when we are in their defending our business and trying to sell?

You guys wonder why people are leaving to go to our competitors and why we are losing business. Maybe we should get back to good old fashioned science and selling with MINIMAL promotions, websites, etc? KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, we are aware that there is MerialConnect.com and it is supposed to keep all of this garbage together. It doesn't.

Thanks for listening. And, PLEASE stop the madness.
