Thank you for destroying what little culture we had left. Thank you for demanding ABL's do 5 out of 5 days in the field....most of my offices now see my ABL so much they think I'm on a PIP. Performance Based Coaching sounds like "micromanage your reps to death" . Nice job on that too. Thank you for focusing on metrics because we know metrics are what drives sales.......insert eye roll. 7shitty 30 second drop shit and run calls a day are way more important than 1-2 really good calls with conversations that matter.....you're so right Dez. And thank you for proving that "Speak UP Culture" is a farce. We all knew it was a death sentence to your career to challenge anything or daring to suggest an alternative to the corporate bullshit but the fact that the good people who dared speak up have all quietly quit proves it. Thank you for the shitty raises last year. The "Everyone gets the same increase of 2%" was an especially nice Fuck You to those that crushed their numbers. But hey Dez you know what motivates people. It's not more money. Not that. Thank you for making every rep feel they are replaceable in an instant, that they bring no value to their customers or the organization, that their opinion means jack shit, that money isn't important, that crappy meetings that could have been zooms in terrible hotels in bad locations with horrible food are motivating, that we all should be grateful we even have jobs and to take the micromanagement up the ass with a smile........and for all this again thank you Dez

The people around you want you to speak up…because they won’t. Look, this whole thing is a game. You’re not going to fix it, and neither is the company. Once you understand it’s a big game, a big charade…you will have piece of mind and will only do what’s necessary to stay off the radar.

And when you consider the millions of dollars dished out to all those favorite consulting companies (the ones that put the recent Bschool grads on our case) it's even more insulting. The management track that moves people (usually hired outside) up the ladder before they learn the biz, and encourage them to make a 'meaningful' change in the new position they'll never know is a total joke. I'll be thankful to hang on for a few more years before launching my own business.

This is an accurate post, except you should also thank Victor as he was the one that hired him and wants him to reinforce the metrics and implement what he wants to be done. Dez is just a yes guy and he also wants people that follow him blindly.

Remember this about Dez -

He didn't show up for the Dallas debacle;
He took the ABL's to a five-star resort in San Diego;
He didn't fire Duane after he piloted one of the ugliest, saddest, most disjointed product launches any industry has ever seen.
He sent Neil out to tell us that the bonus system in place is fine; he didn't even have the balls to turn on the camera in his basement on and do it himself.

He doesn't have to tell you he thinks you're insignificant, replaceable flotsam . . . he prefers to.show you every chance he gets.
 




Dude was a rep 10 years ago and most recently worked at Microsoft. Handing out laptops to a salesforce isn’t excellence. Focusing on just the metrics isn’t excellence. Treating seasoned reps like it’s primary care world 1998 isn’t excellence. Having managers micromanage you with 40 coaching reports in three months isn’t excellence. Having hospital reps and DALs in 2023 isn’t excellence. Forcing employees to sit on woke customer engagement infomercials isn’t excellence. Novartis will never be top 5 with the leadership they have in place. No way.
