Deal not happening - Mr. Read says not confident that AZ will agree to deal

Read, said in a statement. “Following a conversation with AstraZeneca earlier today, we do not believe that the AstraZeneca board is currently prepared to recommend a deal at a reasonable price.”

They are now at the stage where Pfizer says this is our last and final offer or we are moving on. AstraZeneca says, we need some time to run through the math. Pfizer says, you have 48 hours. Then the deal is sealed and everyone cashes in and goes home.
