As November 1st gets closer and we approach the Day of the Dead (or as our Mexican brothers would say Dia de los Muertos) we should follow the tradition of looking back on our past as a guide to our future. I thought this would be a good time for a five year retrospective on our stock price!

  • Five years ago today our stock price was $71.92
  • Four years ago today our stock price was $51.01
  • Three years ago today our stock price was $49.85
  • Two years ago today our stock price was $41.38
  • One year ago today our stock price was $19.48
  • Today our stock price is $16.39
That is a decrease of 77.2%.

During this same period the Dow went from 17,663.54 to 28,335.57. That is an increase of 60.4%.

That is a Dia de los Muertos reflection worth pondering.
 












Perhaps a moment of silence for 3831 would be more appropriate. My MSL told me that it looks like our label is going to have some horrible things added to it. Currently wrangling with the FDA but it is looking like we are going to have to put so much stuff in the label it will be even more impossible to sell than if we skated through clean. God help us all.

God help us all? It's really not that a big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Are you this insufferably dramatic in your personal life, or do you reserve all your pessimisstic bad energy for anonymous internet forums?

Spoken like a person who blames everyone but themselves for their problems.

If you feel unhappy and negative, it’s not your fault, it’s Rich Pops fault and Donald Trump’s fault.

You’ll start feeling better when you stop playing the victim.

Who's unhappy? Not me!

I've learned from our senior management. I'm sticking around as long as possible, taking my fat salary and annual bonuses and burring my head in the trough as deep as possible. When the company dies or is absorbed maybe then I'll move on. But I'm taking my cues from the vampires at the top of this place. Why leave until we have drained the last drop of blood from this dying corpse?

The reason to leave now is to demonstrate you have character and values superior to those you criticize.

If your values and behavior are the same as those you criticize, then you are the same as those you criticize.

You fail your own character test.

The honorable thing to do is leave.

Be advised, wherever you go, your values, behavior and victim mindset will accompany you. The Alkermes BOD can’t change these, only you can.
