HA -HA...Now that is funny! I hear you-I came here and nothing is what I was told it would be. Cold, out of touch management...you are right about the leader-all he cares about is himself and has zero respect in the field. Very 2-faced and talks out of his ass. Talk to some of the old timers and this place is the exact opposite of what it once was-when it was the place to be. Secure strap is killing us but thankfully those sig events of its failures seem to clog my voicemail. Blah Blah Blah...ECHO these words-we are in trouble and heads are gonna roll!
 






That is right fellas-say goodbye to your fixation business because we are taking it all. You can bash Proceed all you want but we own the absorbable market and wait until you hear what is next in biologics.You are no longer king of the mountain!

Not going to argue any of the points you make, but given the president just had us all do conference calls with our districts to deliver candid & honest feedback on specific areas would indicate that he does care. Given he basically fired Calabrese & is looking for feedback sends a pretty strong message that he's looking to change thigns for the better

we will see...how many of us gave good honest feedback and will that "honest" feedback make it to the top. From what I hear, the president does not respect the salesforce and never says anything nice about us behind closed doors. Of course, except for the few that he has his mancrushes on. If everyone needs to be held accountable then there are a number of DM's and above that better start pulling there weight. Sick of the ride outs with clueless management that blow smoke up my rear end when I know I can sell circles around them-hell, they barely even know the products themselves-maybe they can role play at the next meeting to show us how it is done!

Hope things change because morale is low and trust is gone. Calabrese was not the reason sales were down-there is alot of dysfunction between managers who should not be managers to a marketing department that is sub par at best. I am concerned some marketing guy from the outside with fancy words on his resume will be next in line. Upper management needs to get in the trenches and see what is going on for themsleves instead of sitting in their offices looking at spreadsheets and making vidoes for the NSM's. Hope all this honesty makes it to the top but I am sure it will not.
 












People hear that the president wants to create a more positive atmosphere and demotes Calabrese as a way to change the environment. Then, the next week he changes the comp plan to adversely affect the salesforce. A great majority of the sales force is only hitting 1 out of 3 buckets. Changing the comp plan to encourage people to sell across categories does not mean that reps can simply stop what they are doing and change their plan of attack.

Morale is low because reps arent making money. Give us a comp plan that will pay us for the hard work we do and give us some products outside of synthetic hernia mesh and we can continue to make this company grow.
 






new comp plan stinks. lets all now scramble to be more balanced.At least I was making some money selling bio's but now that will be reduced because I need to fill my other buckets.I think things are worse since conf calls and new comp plan-I have not talked to anyone that is happy but economy stinks so I am off to play some golf ( and I know Im not the only one). FOOOORE! Oh, and i will keep my beer icey cold in my Sorbafix bag.

Time for a reality check. This has been a tough year so far. Keep in mind this is on the heels of the best year in the history of Davol. A lot of inflated histories (40k stocking orders), coupled with new competitive threats (secure strap). In addition, even though it's a down year, you are still cashing bigger checks than your competitors.

Today we received updated launch dates on Echo. It is very soon. We have several other new Sepra based technologies that have done well so far. We all know Echo is lights out for COV and JnJ. Let the competitors post all they want. We know what we have and they are scared. Every surgeon that sees this thing wants to try it. Every surgeon that tries it wants to switch. This truly is a game changer.

Again, let our competitors say what they want..." it doesnt work"..."its training wheels"...whatever. The most skilled, experienced MDs in my turf want it. Let them fight tooth and nail for each tacker they sell. Meanwhile we are getting stocking orders after one case....its that good.

"on your turf"...who are you, the Fonze? AAAAAAAyyyyyyy! After reading this post, it is obvious you are a manager or "The Man" himself. Regardless, Echo is not the savior you think it is and we have a lot of catching up to do numbers wise-who wants to bulk up synthetic number now when we have to fight against it next year-by the time we are selling this 3/4 of year is gone. I am going to wait until 2012 to kick it into gear and I am not the only one...better make this history free if you want to show some numbers. Just my thoughts from "my turf"...AAAAAYyyyyyyy!
