Davol

i totally agree with you. the guy's totally arrogant and will expect you to call him at 6am to talk live with him. he'll never pick up the phone while in the office and never returns your call. try to find another recrutier or call the company directly and find out who the hiring manager is. DO NOT USE DAVE TROY of TROY Associates in PA...waste of time and a complete douche

Considering Dave Troy does about 75% of the recruiting for Davol, I would have to disagree with the prior post. Sounds like some one didn't meet Dave's standards and was rubbed wrong. Yes he is arrogant, but who cares. He is in sales just like the rest of us. If you are a good candidate, and have a good shot at landing the job, he will get back to you. If you are a waste of his time, well then he won't waste his time.

Nothing to do with meeting requirements. ivy league graduate, top of class rankings, 5 yrs of b2b with the best imaging company, pres club year after year and 2 yrs of pharma again w the best and top 5% in company - dont tell me i didn't meet his criteria. he's arrogant and there are WAY better recruiters out there than him. he also doesn't do 75% of recruting try 50% or close to it.

I agree on Troy. Pushy asshole I've been in the top 10% of my company for the last 2 1/2 years, 11 years of experience in device/OR. He just talked over me and acted like he was to busy to answer questions. I didn't call you, you called me, so have some class.

Save your IVY top 5% bullshit, there are hundreds fighting to get in and only a few are chosen. The best reps and managers at Davol are on the Blue Collar side and if you go into an interview talking ivy league you will not stand a chance

By the way..the whole "pharma" thing...that's what did you in. Dave knows very few Pharma reps are hired into Davol. Your "imaging" experience (fancy way of saying copiers) would serve you well, if you lost the Ivy League tone and quit referring to it as "imaging".

Based on your post, Dave made the right decision to pass on you. Once you loose that sense of entitlement due to your education, and silly pharma marketing experience, you may double your income. Until then, make sure Panera includes the pickles..they are delicious.

Thanks, I'll try to "loose" the sense of entitlement next time...

Talk about arrogance...someone needs to remind you Davol boys that slingin' mesh IS the "imaging" sales of the OR.

Congrats. Sounds like a great gig. Back in '97.

Troy:

I've worked with Troy and he has placed me. He has a lot of inroads throughout many divisions of Bard. He's also a complete dick. He's a sales rep whose only job is placing sales reps; you'd think he'd realize that and not act like he's above the fray.

Troy is a dick with arms, but he can get you a job. Get the job and you never have to speak with him again, then again if you come to Bard, you'll want to keep his number on speed dial. Troy is actually likeable compared to Beasley, Yentz, and 90% of the management at Bard.

Imaging sales - downing mesh - How many copiers would you have to sell to take home $30,000 in a month? Better yet lets compare a bad month of only $12000? Take shots all you want, we are where you want to be! Oh by the way I recieved my degree in food photography from some backwoods state school in WV.

Merry Christmas

All the surgical jobs Dave works require you to be in the OR at 6:45 am. If you can't make a phone call that early, how are you going to do the job....Genius? Dave Troy is really good, you just have to get past his screening process.

I agree. If you're a top producer you will love this guy. He's direct, doesn't waste your time and will put you in the best position to be successful. Everything he does with you from the first time you engage with him is part of his screening process. He's not there to be your friend he's there to screen you in or out. Once you're in he's the best in the business.

Dave Troy, Toad S, John W and Tim R all one and the same, met one, ya met them all. Go find a real job at a company that cares. The only difference is Troy may not be on the payroll.
