Davol and ECHO- is it the promised land?

I got a call from a recruiter for DAVOL.
Its the hernai/breast reconstruction position.

Is this a good gig?
I know there are lots of lawsuits going on with vaginal mesh, but is the hernia market affected by this?
Is the reconstruction market affected at all by the lawsuits?

Why is the salary only 45-50? Thats low for a device job.
The comp program?

What kind of company car do they give out?

Thanks for your serious responses.

When one of us is able to stop laughing you just may get an answer.....a serious one I doubt.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I see
Another unhappy person.
Its amazing, you must be an Obama supporter. You dont want to help anyone buy yourself, and you feel entitled to everything but work for NOTHING.

You are a sad sad human being.

Good luck to you. Just remember, Food stamps dont last forever.

Its hard to make a broad generalization to your question OP. Yes, Echo is a great device and yes Davol in a great position with synthetic mesh. That being said, so much of your success at Davol is dependent of the territory you walk into. You could walk into a terrible territory, be the best rep in the world, and get absolutely killed!

I would do a tremendous amount of research before moving forward with Davol.

Like ????

GPO's?
Contacts?
high volume docs?

Can you please give me a little more insight.

thx

You hit on the 3 biggest areas that will impact your success or failure in the mesh market. You could have the best product out there, but if you are blocked by not being on GPO or by your accounts having contracts already in place with Covidien, Ethicon, etc. it will be tough to get traction.
Good thing with Davol is they have strong contract presence and aren't afraid to throw that around to coerce accounts into staying with them vs looking at other mesh options.
