Davinci and neuro

What do you think? Is this next for robot Surg?

Maybe. Not for us though. Way too much dynamic growth coming in GYN, General/Colorectal, Thoracic and ENT Surgery. Neuro may be a distance future application but it may not be worth the risk for Intuitive. Plus, we're having way too much fun right now hitting goals and watching our current surgical markets explode with robotic procedure volume. Patients are happy and more surgeons ask us to train them than we even have time to. We're also jumping into the waters of competition in the form of our advanced instruments like Vessel Sealers and Staplers. We'll see. I could be way off. I'm just a CSR and have no idea what Sunnyvale CA (HQ) has planned but I've been here for 3 years and love it!

Somebody's been drinking the kool-aid. Most despised reps on the planet inside any institution? Intuitive. And yes, you are way off.

That's ridiculous. Maybe some bad eggs in your area but to make that as a blanket statement for the industry is just stupid. Ask my accounts here in Tennessee and Mississippi if I'm the "most despised reps on the planet" inside their institution. The kool-aid is good here in the south and da Vinci programs are incredibly popular. Have a nice life idiot. Get off our chat board

You tell em, Skippy! The daVinci robot is the best thing EVER and we can only hope and pray that the R&D teams at Intuitive figure out how to get that amazing technology into the neuro suite! Who knows if it ever will though, since we're so busy totally crushing it in GYN and URO. Still, if we can increase procedure time and cost on routine URO and GYN surgeries, without demonstrating significantly better clinical results, the sky is the limit. People will try whatever we tell them the robot can do, we just have to BELIEVE!
