Okay.. I get that primary care is dead and another round will happen again, and probably better to get severance now then hang around. But I cant get over the fact that my counter part may be retained only because of the products she is trained on. The reclast/exelon patch reps seem to be feeling the most confident due to the customer overlap component of the criteria. So what is it? Once past the mapping, is it customer overlap, or ratings. What does customer overlap mean? Actual reclast, exelon patch targets or just the zip codes and clinics.
My manager was given the opportunity to train all of his reps on the entire portfolio months ago and passed. So now because of his poor decision, my reclast counterpart stays even though I beat her out on ratings and tenure. Why would a manager ever turn down additional training for their reps anyway? What a loser. The neighboring district, whose manager did train their people on the portfolio, obviously are also at an advantage depending on the mapping. Not to mention that the additional product training would have been helpful in looking for a job today.
