Poster below is incorrect. I recently got hired and my credit Is not great. So if that is the case ,when you apply for the Amex the company will use its credit standing for the approval of the card. Hope this helps.

I have bad credit and I just got off a Publicis contract. However, they would not guarantee a company credit card (maybe the rules are different with each contract)

The poster is correct that the company will use its credit standing to guarantee the Amex.But I bet that the contact, or company that is partnered with PSS says that yes or no to the gurantee not PSS. I could be wrong but that has been my experience. Since the decline in this industry people have had a lot of their credit screwed! My advice is to get a credit building credit card and use it and pay it off monthly to show you can establish and maintain credit. Good luck I feel your pain and the credit check is only for Amex purpose only. But here the positive if the card is a gurantee card your name is atached to the card and that will help you build credit if you use it , turn in your exp rept on time get it paid and use that to help build your credit. It's completely on Publicis credit if employee has bad credit and it's up to the Publicis point admin/expense point person to approve and route to Amex for processing. Additionally, it does not reflect on your credit report so it doesn't build your credit standing.

Has anyone had their offer rescinded due to low credit score or a lot of revolving credit? Please don't judge, I am in the process of a divorce and my wife was a spender. Thanks.
