Damn. Now had he hit a fan in a crosswalk chances are he'd miss a couple games but be back in time for the playoffs. But since a fellow teammate died, he's probably in deep shit. According to a report he hit a curb and rolled his car with Cowboy practice squad LB Jerry Brown in the passenger seat. Didn't say what kind of car - but my guess is another Bentley.
I hope that brain damage from playing football didn't cause him to drink. I guess we won't know for sure until we get a statement from his attorney. Looks like he's got quite a bit of playing time in this season as nose-tackle. He's played in all 12 games. For some reason I don't think they'll have to give him protected custody in the big house. Since he stands 6'2 and 320 pounds I don't think anyone will fuck with him. That's good.
Well, few people can claim with a straight face that we haven't climbed behind a steering wheel after having a couple adult beverages. So this could happen to most anybody unless you happen to be a Franciscan monk or nun. The difference is most of us don't make millions of dollars and play in the NFL. Man alive, that's a long fall from grace, eh?
RIP, Jerry. You left us way too soon, man. Say 'hi' to the KC LB for us. I'll say a prayer for ya.
