I have an opportunity to interview with Covidien Surgical division in the Southern California area coming up. Does anyone have any feedback or information about the division, opportunity, area, manager, culture at the company, etc, etc,?

Opportunity is all about perspective. It's a good job with decent pay. You aren't going to ball out of control at this gig, but the hours are manageable, you aren't on call, and you can have a life. There are some difficulties right now with backorders, but for the most part, we have some innovative products coming out. As far as the area and the manager, the West is great, and the manager down south is pretty cool, not a micro manager. I would take it, unless you have delusions of making 200K a year.
