Covid-19

Relax. Seriously. The world will start to spin correctly on its axis and people will always need surgery and wound care. The cost of furlough or laying off sales specialists FAR outweighs keeping well trained established reps that will be ready to get back to it when this resolves. I mean really, I don’t know why people or the company are panicking after just 5-6 weeks out of the year. If we can’t handle this for 6-10 weeks we have a serious problem with infrastructure. This will be over soon. I have talked to numerous friends in other med device companies and they are not worried and their companies are actually taking better care of them than Integra is taking care of us.

Not that I am complaining. I am thankful. Just stating the facts.

Keep your cool and be safe folks.

You must be new to the industry. Yes surgery will always be needed and states will start to reopen with many restrictions. The last place to open will be docs offices, hospitals. It will be a huge liability to have a tons of reps from different companies all over the place coming in contact with too many people in just one day that could spread the virus. This is at least another 6 months out.

Are you kidding? It is not even close to over. With the portfolio we have this is the best time to be with this company. Have you not noticed all the other companies that Integra competes with are laying people off. This as usual is a post by someone here who is worthless, doesn't hit the number prior to COVID-19 and wants this company to pay them at 100%......

This is too funny!

Portfolio you have????? Hope you're not in EO idiot. At best a me too! This division will be the first to go. Never has been profitable and moving nerve should have been one of many clues. Look at the quotas and have a look at the payouts. The company is upside down on metal. Start job hunting you dumbass.

Major health systems, hospitals and hospital owned community practices will not allow vendor access until deep into the late fall when immediate and inexpensive Covid testing MIGHT be available. Too much liability of an outside person, eg a vendor/rep, transmitting the virus to patients and/or employees of the system. We all thought the vendor credentialing was a pain before...it is going to be crazy now for the big systems and those few who have not adopted them will surely do so now.

Forget it Einstein. Late fall will be round two of the pandemic. You better think of other ways to sell to/trough the hospital. They will not allow patient loved ones to visit sick patients...they sure as hell will not let a rep (from any company) anywhere near the property. Unless you sell Botox or high tech masks...you are out at least until January...maybe forever.

Bunch of chicken little’s here. Things are starting to ease up. EO might be toast but AWC and WR will be fine. This is not Armageddon. I do not know of a single large scale med device company that is laying off or even furloughing their field sales reps. How in the hell will they get up to speed when the gates open?

Studies show more wound care will be done in private offices. Unfortunately for us we have a very low ASP across the portfolio to succeed with that strategy unlike some of our competitors with similar products with 10 times the ASP. If you were a business minded person, which product would you use? And while it’s not Armageddon I still don’t see how AWC survives when private offices are going to be the new wound care centers!??

Exactly!!!!!!!

hospitals are going to have to deem essential reps- like trauma reps to limit access. Hate to break it to you but AWC is not essential for reps. They know how to put a graft on in the clinic.

Well if that’s the case, then all reps will be gone. Any surgeon can put on a graft be it bilayer, Primatrix, Amnio... of course they can. The difference is in wound care there are many physicians who are not surgeons who need help in clinic and guidance by reps. We are consultants. There is no value to walking in a graft so that a physician can throw it on to a wound. No value there. Dig deep and help them come to the best clinical solution.

Your crazy!! They will not even let loved ones in a hospital or husband that are having babies and you think you will be? Sure let 500 reps per day into multiple hospitals/docs promoting different products yes that make sense
