Corporate Customer dis-Service cost you a Rx (How many others are there?)

I am an ex-rep of 14 years, now in my last year of Nursing School. I have been on Adderall since 1998.

I don't mean to say anything against the reps, my message is for management and their stupid "target" lists and how you and District Monkeys are too stupid to let reps figure out what's right for their territories.

Yesterday I visited my psych and was reminded of one of the reasons I voluntarily left pharma 3 years ago to go to nursing school.

One of the biggest battles I had with the 2 companies I worked for was how concrete target lists didn't allow for reps to call on satellite offices, which is common for specialists to have.

I sold in the field of Allergy and has Allergy groups of several docs that were all registered at 1 location, but may have had a total of 3, 4, 5+ office locations.

My allergists always said to me, why can't I get samples at my other offices? My company wouldn't split credit and allow reps in other territories to add these satellite offices to the system. Talk about Customer dis-Service.

If you were a restaurant supplier and your customer said, "Hey, we are opening a new joint 20 miles away" would you say, "Oh sorry, we will only deliver supplies to this location, you will have to take them over there yourself?" You would be laughed out the door.

I don't know if this same thing is happening at Shire, but my psych cannot get a rep at his satellite location where he spends 2 days a week for sure and every other Saturday making it 3 days on those weeks.

I am in my last year of school and need additional help to Adderall in concentrating on my reading.

I asked doc if we could add generic guanfacine t.i.d. to my Adderall. He was concerned with me because I am already on BP medication, he said in my case he would feel more comfortable using Intunive, but only because I have BP issues.

I am concerned about co-pays and he went to look for coupon or free trial voucher or whatever it is. He came back irritated and said, "I can't get reps at this location and don't have anything." He said, "Since you're so close to be a R.N., if I give you the generic, do you promise me you'll titrate, take it right, and monitor your blood pressure?" I said of course and walked out with a 1 mg t.i.d. script, which is what I wanted in the 1st place.

Point is corporate, despite what your idiotic overpaid consultants and your ignorant as hell District Monkeys think, your reps know THEIR business best. Don't ever forget it, your noose cost an Rx yesterday, how many others have you lost?
