Guess what Publicis is doing now. They now have a new sales force model for primary care. Reps are paid $35,000 per year just to LEAVE samples and a PI. NO product detailing in an effort to avoid PDMA issues. The reps have NO product training and therefore pose very little liability. If a physician has a question they fill out a request form on the tablet which immediately goes to a MSL for prompt follow up with the physician. Part of the mentality with hiring the Inventiv primary care sales force was to hire a great deal of non-pharma sales people for the teams. Believe me I know this as fact. They want a mixture of 1-2 year pharma and b2b or other low level sales. They want people who "dont have bad habits". Its more like they want people who aren't on to how disposable they are and work them like mules for 2 years then with the "possibility" of being kept on will as you know be let go for sure. Yeah piss on my back and tell me its raining Forest. How stupid do you think these Inventiv managers are?
This industry has outsourced the contract reps lol.. If you think you will retire in pharmaceutical sales at Forest you are kidding yourself. They think they are cutting edge but are still have a big pharma 1990's mentality. The primary care products are a joke and good luck in hospitals. I understand some NYC teaching hospitals are now excluding all pharmaceutical reps and have hired a Pharm D whose main responsibility is to educate and update physicians on new and existing medication.
These guys at Forest an other companies just don't get it. Still they are like Obama and will have you believe we are doing great. They are lean, profitable and strategic. Wyeth and King were great companies on the NYSE until Pfizer decided to buy them. Don't think it can't happen at Forest. Start to work towards a new skill set. Use the time and money at Forest to protect your future and move on..Otherwise the move will be made for you.
Signed,
Had enough of it already..
