Contract sales force question

I am considering a contract sales position, but was wondering -- what are the odds of getting on another contract when this one expires? Does the company then "rollover" the reps to their own salesforce? When the contract is ending, do you just get an email saying that you only have a few more months left for work, do they tell you of other available contracts?

Do not work for Quintiles. They will abandon you when the contract ends abruptly.

You will be told that your contract is ending and good luck! Less than a 1% chance of any rollover and less than a 5% chance you will be placed on a new contract (assuming there is one). You are hired to fill a spot but when the contract ends it's as if Innovex never knew you and kicks you under the bus.

If you look along the curbs of any major city in the US you will see the remains of many former Innovex/Quintiles/Novaquest reps bones laying there. Some were asked to hold on for just a little while longer with the promise of future placement would certainly arrive according to you know whos! "Geez . . . . . you guys are so good that we can place the whole team"! Don't worry! We got 'ya covered. But yet the bones still collect along the highways and byways of the US.

Don't be fooled! "Once bitten, twice shy"! Do not expect nor believe any promises with contract sales and ANY PROMISES upper management communicates to you! 99% lies.

My experience with Innovex has been great. It is important (but this goes for any company) to stay in contact with those for whom you worked. Some of the recruiters are terrible, I admit. However, it will help if you keep the lines of communication open, and if you do a good job.

Do not listen to these negative people.
While there are no guarantees that you will get on another contract, Quintiles people go out of their way to try to help get on another contract.
Keep in touch with everyone you meet - Project Lead, District and Regional Managers and the regional recruiter in your area.
They flag your career profile that you are a former employee and you get preference for interviews on new contracts.
Apply online and email your contacts letting them know you are posting for specific positions.
