I was recently contacted by a recruiter for an open VC position on the west coast. Can anyone give some honest feedback on what size territory can be expected, base salary and also what the company's long term outlook is? I've read many of the posts here, and see that there are many unhappy people, but they are more likely to speak out v. someone who is content. I just want to gauge if it's worth my time to even consider. Thanks for your feedback!
 












Over the last two years they have even had group interviews but eventually no one gets hired. They are looking for people that are essentially out of work and will accept anything. They usually shut down territories rather than fill them. Tons of people have been trifled with to no end. The company is losing money like it's going out of style along with decreasing market share. The owners are a private equity company that are pumping like crazy to dump this thing. If you fill the very narrow criteria of accepting very little pay, easily accept abuse and look half human they may toss you into a large territory just to show that a body covers it. The recruiter's don't care about you at all and talk this place up as they are all starving with the trends of laying off sales in pharma. You've been warned.
 
























i don't care about a big territory or not. i just want a paycheck and benefits for my family. what type of starting salary do they offer and what type of realistic bonus could i expect?

We're trying to tell you that no one is getting hired. They are going to run you through a drill like a trick pony and then no carrot. This has been going on for the last couple of years.

Wow. Sounds like you're one big overachiever...only wanting a paycheck for your "family". Doesn't sound like you want to strive to do well for the company or yourself...just collect a paycheck. B+L should be so lucky to have you...or any company for that matter. I hope K K eats you alive.
