Can someone shed light on the average day, job, products, potential compensation, details, etc. about this job?

What is average earning in this job?

Hurdles in the job?

Marketplace for these products?

Anything else?

Thanks.

Their market is the O.R.; generally selling to general, colorectal and GYN surgeons. You will have to deal with O.R. staff and management and materials, but with superior products and all the purchasing programs, you will be a winner.

EbD over EMID, if you can. Most of senior management is from EbD, and they are really smart. They have your best interest in mind, as they want to be winners.

Comp is not the highest, but solid. The trade-off is, you're selling the best products and marketing does all the work for you. You should be able to pul down $150 - 170K. Top earners are well over $200K.

Work hours are early, surgery time, but you can knock off earlier in the afternoon for family and paperwork.

Sucking up really helps in this company.

Marketing does all the work for you- couldnt be further from the truth. Part about having all purchasing programs false as well. Otherwise decent assesment

60-65k base depending on if it's a full line role or associate role. 100k for associate at plan, 110-125k first year is realistic otherwise for full line. It is an uncapped situation but if you blow it out 1 year they will knock you back down the next year to a more realistic w-2 number. Co. Car, and all of the bells and whistles. If you are coming in with a ton of OR experience they may have room to bump up the base and at plan number a little but you have to be a serious player for that, but then why would you come to Covidien. Year 2 125-150k, year 3 you should be consistently over 150k. This is all depending on how the territory is currently going.

what a bunch of corporate liars. Covidien Surgical & EBD are horrible work environments filled with arrogant baffoons for regional managers, with even more arrogant and useless area vice presidents, and VP of Sales. What a joke. They steal money from your commissions, when you question it, they tell you to do the math a different way. Dude, lets be real. The average tenure is less than 36 months at this company. They turn and burn you. You give everything you got, and saturate, then they put you on a plan and push you out. Don't say you weren't warned. Douchebagville at best.
